We had a very Merry Christmas in Willmar! We finally got to spend some time with Jace, Jack and Lucas and Steph and Trent too! We had a fun time opening presents! Auntie and Uncle T were the winners of the best gift this year and got Addi and Landon both Kindle Fire's. They were super cool! Addi and Landon also got some cool hiking sticks! Hopefully we will get to use them when we get to VA! It was just a lot of fun being all together....truly the best gift of all and the one most asked for by my kids!

We flew to MN today..we arrived early and was able to get to Willmar in time for Church. It was a great candlelit service at Bethel. It is such a beautiful church! I think Addi and Landon enjoy being in MN...they were so excited to go somewhere where there was snow and it felt like Christmas. It has been unusually warm in VA. It is forecasted to be 70 degrees on Christmas. Glad we are home!

We had to do our Christmas before we left for MN so we decided the night before would be a good time. Our neighbors so graciously invited us over for a train viewing! I had NO idea what a set up it was! Chuck has loved trains since he was a little boy and has an entire model in the basement. More than one model. It was so special that he invited us to share it with him!
Landon and Addison made special gifts with Tammy...this is the one for Bill. A votive holder!

So, after taking in some cool train stuff and having some quick dinner it was on to opening up presents at our house.
Addison was particularly excited about a present in a bag that was really heavy!
It was a sewing machine...a "real" one!
Landon asked for a light saber...I guess this one is double sided....like the bad guys!

It was fun! Bill got some fun gifts that the kids picked out...a hoodie, hiking pants and of course a candle! I gave Bill tickets to see Gregory Porter in DC in Feb as well as an old school kindle...no glare! And Bill gave me an awesome pair of sunglasses as well as a time machine for the computer! WOOHOO I don't have to worry about losing pictures! I love giving gifts! I wish it didn't have to be so rushed. It was off to bed because we fly super early!

Zoo Lights

We went to zoo lights with the Fryar's! It was lots of fun. We got there in time to see a few animals but then the lights came on. It was all lit up. The carousel was going, there was a hill to "sled" down even though there was NO SNOW at all! The kids had a lot of fun. The traffic wasn't even too bad when we left.

This was the sledding! Not so much but it was fun!
