Great Weekend!

I can't believe that I didn't think to take pictures this weekend. I think the baby is taking what is left of my brain. Anyway, we had a wonderful visit with my Aunt Pat and Uncle Ron. They made the trek from MN. It was so much fun to relax and just spend time with them. Addi got to show them her favorite park and even Sidney got to go for a walk (thanks Uncle Ron!!) I was able to consult my aunt and her wonderful decorating advise for the baby's room. It is coming together so cute! I can't wait until I have a good picture to post. They also delivered a special quilt made by our friend Kelly....it is beautiful....and it makes the nursery so cute and special!! Thanks Kelly SO MUCH!!

We are so very lucky to have such wonderful family and friends!

Perfect Day!

Although there were lots of household things to do today Addison and I took a break and had a picnic at the park. It was just such a perfect day! The perfect temperature, no wind...it was great! And better yet we were the only two people at the park! I do love my special time with my little girl!

Doctor Appointment!

Well I am finally at the point where I start going in every two weeks. This past appointment, yesterday, I had the pleasure of drinking some nasty orange stuff for the glucose test. YUCK! But the results came back just fine. Addison insisted that she bring with her purse with her crayons and a picture to color. Okay..so we get to the lab and before I can check in she has settled herself into a spot and taken out her crayons and picture and is coloring away. I just had to smile.



At the appointment I guess I measured big. The measurement had me at 31 weeks when I am at 29 weeks. I guess the last appointment I also measured big. I guess if this is a "trend" ,which I don't exactly know their definition of, they will give me another ultrasound. WoooHoo...I would love another peek at this little guy. And better yet if he is done in there and can come out a little early PERFECT!!!

That is all the baby news we have! Oh so after the Dr appointment last night I was upstairs doing something and here Addison comes with her stethoscope. "Mommy I want to listen to the baby's heartbeat." So I lifted up my shirt and she put it on my tummy. I asked her what sound she was hearing and she said, "woosh woosh woosh" Nothing gets past her! I adore that little girl!!!

Busy Weekend!!

So this past weekend was busy, busy, busy! My Mom and Dad came down and helped Bill and I get some projects done. We got the baby's room painted, the down stairs bathroom painted and a new mirror hung and a new door put in between the garage and house. Thanks Mom, Dad and Bill for all your hard work. I have to say....I didn't do much at all.

Addison had SO much fun "helping" to paint the baby's room. She was standing there painting and having this whole conversation

"I am helping to paint my baby brothers room. He will say oh thank you Addi you did such a good job." She really is getting excited I think to meet her new baby!




But I think that Addison's highlight was driving Papa's truck. She sat out there forever with whoever would ride with her. She told my Mom, "We are going to Jason's Jelly (Jason's Deli)" My Mom said she would have some kinda sandwich and some chips. Addison responded that she was going to have the same sandwich and I'll just have some of your chips. She just makes me laugh!



Thanks again Bill, Mom and Dad for all your hard work! I REALLY appreciate it! I will post pictures of the baby's room once I can get it a little bit more decorated! The paint is SOOOO CUTE!!

Spoiled Mommy!

I had a wonderful Mother's Day and truly got spoiled! My husband is very thoughtful he made me food from each place that we have lived. So for lunch he made me bruschetta with mozzarella FROM Campagna it was the real deal!!! yummy yummy yummy!!! Then for dinner we had wild caught salmon (Washington State) with this great sauce on top, green beans and black beans (from Turtle Bay in Monterey). For desert...GELATO! No kidding Bill found Gelato in Omaha! I don't think I have ever eaten food with so much thought put into it! Thanks Baby!

As if that wasn't enough he also took some fun pictures of Addi and I and little guy too! Here they are....I think Bill is the photographer of the family!

Happy Mother's Day to all the Mommy's!

I woke up to a kiss from my husband and sleepy little girl with a big hug...it doesn't get better than that! I am a very very lucky mommy in so many ways! I am so thankful for my wonderful husband and my adorable little girl. I am also very thankful for the gift of our new little guy who I am so anxious to meet!

Also, thanks to MY Mom who has always lead by example and showed me how to be a good person and who has believed in me no matter what...even when I wasn't going to be a teacher! Mom there aren't words to describe how grateful I am for not only what you have done for me but what you continue to do everyday for me and my family! THANK YOU! I only hope that I can come close to being that good of a mom!

Happy Mother's Day to my aunts and grandma and all my friends all over the world who also show me what it takes to be a good Mom! I hope you all have a wonderful day and know that I am thinking about you!!!!


It is my plan that after I have our little guy that I will run another Marathon to get back in shape. It worked the first time so it should work again....with that in mind this was my gift from Addi and little guy....

Time with Daddy!

Bill took some time off of work to Turkey hunt with Uncle Trent. Well, he built in a couple extra days so we could have some time together too. We had a great time. We went out to breakfast during the week...woohoo no wait, went to the zoo which we thought would be empty but tis the season of school field trips but it still wasn't as bad as a saturday! It was just fun to spend time together!

Addison came up from her play room dressed like this and informed me "Look Mommy I can see better!" Who knew! She loves to look fancy and will more than likely tell you the entire story of Fancy Nancy and the Posh Puppy!!

Ms. Safety Bug!



Addison recently got a new bike (new to her anyway). Addi and Daddy had a fun time trying to ride it in the driveway! It will be a fun summer toy! She was very concerned that she wear her special hat! Can you tell that she is Bill's daughter? Mr. Safety Bug!!

So we had a Doctor appointment today...everything looks good. Dr. Collins told us to start thinking about a date the first week in August for our baby to be born! Wahooo there is an end in sight!

New Photos!!

So I got my Mother's Day present a little early....I LOVE IT! Bill gave me photo backdrops, stands and lights. I have a little photo studio of my own. I am so excited to play around more with it. Thank you baby for such a thoughtful gift! Bill had it set up one day I was gone and took some pictures of Addison...they are SO adorable. He really was able to capture a side of Addison that we get to see but is difficult to portray in photos. Great job Bill! We hope that you enjoy the pictures as much as we do!
