Play time!

So playing at Grandma and Grandpa's is just more fun!  We had some time to play in the snow and Addison and Landon loved it!  Landon just likes touching the snow and walking in it!  Of course he gets to wear boots so it is already great in his world! Grandpa stoked up the garage too so we could drive the gator too!  Landon wasn't too sure about it until he ran into the garbage can full speed.  That was the funniest thing ever!  Then he liked it!

Christmas 2012

Christmas this year was so much fun!  Of course we had the best gift we could ask for and had Bill home.  But it was so fun to see Landon and Lucas together.  They are so funny.  Landon is so worried about Lucas!  I thought Addi would be more of a mother hen but it is Landon.

 Addi was excited for her Taylor Swift tickets!  It was fun to see her open them.  Of course this is Addison excited....but we knew she was really excited when she was telling random people about it!  I can't wait!  Then at dance when Breanna asked her about going and if she could got too..."Breanna I am really sorry but my mom only got two tickets and they are for me and her."  When Breanna explained that there were two more tickets for her and her mom she was super excited!!!

Nana and I were there....really...Nana is a bit like big foot when there is a camera around....and well....I am behind the camera!  It was a fun time..we got to spend the day relaxing together....the way it should be! 

Skindelien Christmas

So on Sunday (Dec 23) we left Omaha in the morning and met at Jody and Janel's for Christmas in the afternoon.  It was so fun to see everyone!  It was so great that Bill could be there.  

Landon was so excited about his t-shirt because it had a candy cane on it.  He made sure he showed it to everyone! He was so cute....he looked like a little buddy the elf!

 Addi got a "real" nutcracker for Christmas!  She really liked it! Landon LOVED his Vikings outfit!  He had to stop everything and put it on! 

 When I asked Landon what he wanted for Christmas he said "Airplane...big one"He was very consistent saying the same thing every time he was asked! He got airplanes....lots of them!

I HATE UNITED AIRLINES!

December 21- There has always been a strong love hate relationship with airports.  We did the long distance thing for two years....it was great coming, horrible leaving!  Well, today proved no different.  Bill called this morning from Dulles and said that his flight into Chicago was canceled so he wouldn't be flying into Omaha on time.  Well, United had him booked on a later flight....yeah...two stinkin days later!  NO UNACCEPTABLE!

Well, I dropped Addi off at school and came home to search for flights.  The guy that  Bill called in Bahrain called me...cause Bill left that number....of course there was nothing he could do!  Side note....I would FOR SURELY be kicked out of Bahrain by now.  This guy treated me like crap the minute he found out I was a woman.  That wouldn't go over too well with me!

So, Bill can't get out until Sunday at 2 which means that we will miss Christmas with my Mom's family.  Needing some comfort food after we picked Addi up from school we went to Chick-filet.  Well, on our way Bill calls and asks me if I can pick him up at 7 in Kansas City!  Ahhhh yeah!  Apparently Bill stood in line forever and when he finally got to talk to an agent she checked every airport in the the area.  Sioux Falls, Minneapolis, Fargo, Des Moines, Kansas City...and there was nothing available.  She just so happened to check Kansas City one more time....after she had checked it once....and there was ONE seat available....someone had just canceled their seat.  She was able to snap it up for Bill.  Now that was a Christmas Miracle!  So, I was able to get Breanna to come over and watch Addi and Landon so Bill was going to be their surprise in the morning!

Bill was sleeping when Addi woke up and all he said was "Good Morning Addi" and she shrieked "Daddy" and jumped up to hug him! It wasn't long before Landon woke up and I went and got him....they were both so excited!  It was such a great surprise!  Oliver was sitting on Bill's bedside lamp with a wand.  Addi was concerned that Olivers feet were going to get burned by the light bulb....Captain safety's daughter for sure!  I don't have any pictures because it was too dark in our room....trust me the camera was ready!  But it was an amazing reunion!  Addi and Landon didn't let Bill get more than two feet from them the entire day!

It is great to be together as a family....this is truly the way it should be!  I am SO very thankful that we are together for Christmas!  The most amazing gift ever!

Oliver arrived tonight in a plane..attached to his plane was mail from daddy!  He is one tricky little elf!! Bill says that I am having more fun with Oliver than the kids....he might be right!  

We are SUPER excited to get Bill in the morning! 

Snow Day!

So on December 20 we had a snow day!  Pretty much the first snow of the year! It was fun to have a day off....Breanna came over and played in the snow with us, we did a little holiday baking...it was lots of fun.  We are just hopeful that it doesn't affect Bill's travel!

 I am SO thankful for awesome neighbors!  Don cleaned out our entire driveway and sidewalk!  We brought him some soup....not payment enough....we sure do appreciate it!
