Visit to the Farm!

So after a nap Addi, Nana and I went out to the farm. One of my Mom's friends has a farm in Blomkest and they just had a bunch of baby cows. Addison was very excited to visit Kelly and Courtney again. She had gone one other time when she was visiting Grandma. She loved it. She got to see the baby cows, mix their milk and feed them. She was just in awe. She got to see a rooster and cats too. She loves Courtney and even got to play on the swing set with her and pick flowers. Courtney will be talked about at our house for a very long time. Addison really loved telling Daddy and really anyone that would listen all about her visit!
Thank you Kelly and Courtney for the fun experience!!!

BUSY DAY!

We were in Willmar unfortunately for my Aunt's funeral. Everything went fine. Addison was very very well behaved and didn't make a peep during the funeral. At the cemetery after the 11:00 funeral we were saying the Lord's Prayer and we get to the part "give us this day our daily bread" and Addison turns to me and says "I want some bread". It was past the time that she usually eats but I had to just giggle at her.

Since Bill was traveling for work we decided to do a little visiting on Tuesday. We went to see Great Grandma and Grandpa in Sunburg. Addi had a great time! She really loved entertaining them...she was singing, doing flips and tormenting the poor dog. I am pretty sure that Grandma and Grandpa loved watching her!

Kisses For Daddy!

I couldn't resist posting this picture! I LOVE IT!

New Classes!

Catching up once again!

Last friday we started new classes at the YMCA...this session Addison is in Tumbling and Marvelous Messes! She loves them so much! And I love a little time to have coffee, run errands and just relax. Today we brought Sophie too so Casie could get ready for Vollen's 1st Birthday party! It was tons of fun listening to the girls. They are just in the back seat having their own little conversations. We came upon an accident and there were two police cars and a fire truck. Addison turns to Sophie and says "do you want to be a girl police officer with me?" Sophie said sure! It was so funny!

After class we had lunch and played it is so nice....they just play nicely by themselves...I love to try and listen because it is SO funny.

Here are some fun pictures from our day!

Thankful

So this post has been floating around in my head for a few days now. On Tuesday we found out that my aunt, my Dad's sister, passed away suddenly. It is difficult to grasp especially when it was so sudden and I don't think it has really sunk in just yet. However, it has really made me reflect on all the blessings in my life and how lucky I am. It makes me thankful for every good morning kiss I get from my husband, every smile and big "Addi hug" I get from Addison, it makes me thankful for my Mom and Dad and all they do for us, for my Sister and Trent and how lucky we are to have them close and get to see them so often. I am also just thankful for all my family and friends all over the world who have really made me the person that I am. I may not always be the best to keep in contact but please know that it doesn't mean I am not thinking about you and love you!

Feeling very blessed and thankful!

Our Happy Gardener

Yesterday while Addi napped we planted some flowers. So tonight I enlisted Addison's help to water them. She insisted on wearing her rain boots out to water flowers. With the printed pants that she was wearing it was quite a site...but she loved it. I didn't think it was a battle worth fighting. She loves being outside and after this weekend I learned she doesn't mind getting dirty either. We were planting some flowers and she was covered in mud looking for worms. So she isn't a girly-girl all the time.

The other picture is from this morning when she was playing dress up. There she was our Girly Addi with every set of beads she could find on.

We hope you are all enjoying the wonderful weather!!

Daddy's Concert!

Addison and I have been looking forward to Daddy's spring concert for awhile now. Bill did an outstanding job and had a solo that he was awesome on! Both Addi and I LOVE to see Bill sing. Addison certainly has music in her soul. She was talking about the songs all night. "I heard a song about a baby cow, a bunny, a paint box and a rainbow." She clapped so enthusiastically after each song. She would look at me, her eyes would get big and she would clap her little hands off. She was a very very well behaved little girl which made both mommy and daddy very proud. Daddy sure looks cute in his tux!!

Happy Birthday Auntie!!

This past week we were lucky enough to get some visitors!! Auntie and Nana came down! Steph had a training in Kansas City so she stopped here on her way, dropped off Nana and picked her up on the way home. We had a busy week. I am not sure where the time went. We did some looking around for nursery ideas and I think we have in narrowed down to colors anyway. Light green and brown. And we got to celebrate Auntie's birthday with her on Thursday! Addi did an excellent job decorating her cake

And loved helping her blow out her candles....

It was also Addison's first night in her big girl bed. I'm not sure what she thought of it but seems to be taking to it well. She isn't totally convinced that the new baby can have her old bed...but hopefully that will change.

So, all in all it was a busy week. But a very fun week! Thanks Nana and Auntie for the fun time!!

Lets Go Fly A Kite.....

We had a great weekend. Bill surprised me with a massage on Saturday morning....how thoughtful! I am a very lucky girl! While I was there he and Addi went to the park and it must have worn her out. She took a great nap!

Sunday we went for a walk at Walnut Creek and once we got up to the big hill we decided to try and fly a kite. It is a kite Bill and I were going to fly forever ago. I think when we lived in Washington. But we had yet to fly it. So we got to do it as a family. It was so fun. Addi loved it. The weather was perfect. I think that is the first time I have ever flown a kite, at least successfully. It was a great family day! I LOVE days like that!!

Enjoy the pictures. Oh, as you can see my belly is HUGE!!!! This guy isn't so little.

The weather here today is awesome we are hoping to get some bubbles or chalk time in after our nap!!

A GREAT Easter Weekend!!

We hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend. We certainly did! My family came down on friday and stayed the weekend. Time always goes so fast. Addi of course had a wonderful time and was exhausted by the time Sunday rolled around. But she had fun. She wasn't as interested in finding eggs as I thought she would be. She had fun finding her Easter basket though. And the Easter bunny even brought her pancakes for breakfast!

We also had fun celebrating some birthdays too! My Mom's is today and Daddy got some presents and Auntie Steph and Uncle Trent did too cause theirs are coming up. It was fun. Addison LOVES singing Happy Birthday! Her newest thing is the following monologue "Happy Birthday Mommy, its not your birthday yet, not until after our new baby is here." I think she says it a hundred times a day. Today was good though cause she got to sing Happy Birthday to Nana. She is a funny little girl who is ALWAYS talking. She is really getting into her babies and holding them and caring for them. I think she is going to be a great big sister!

Enjoy the pictures!!

Hippy-ray!

Addison has been reminding me for awhile now that the snow is all gone and we can go to the park. So, yesterday we went finally went to the park. It was a fun time with Sophie, Addi and I. Casie was getting ready for company so it worked out perfect! The girls had SO much fun running around and burning some energy. They are so fun to watch. They just have their own conversations. They are the cutest little friends.

After the park we decided to go and have some ice cream. You would think being a girly-girl like Addi is that she wouldn't get messy...oh no! You couldn't tell that Sophie even ate anything and Addi was covered with ice cream!

We had a great day!

The Cutest Friends EVER!!

YEAH it is SPRING!!!

It is about time! We have waited so long for this! Addison recently had fun painting easter eggs. She LOVES to paint. I thought it was a little easier than the dyed ones. We have some how been busy lately. I guess the nice weather just motivates me to do stuff that I have been putting off. We have been enjoying our library time and YMCA classes. Addi loves to be on the go. She gets so excited when we get to go to the Dr! One of the reasons being that she gets a sucker. But she does get excited about her new baby brother. We found out at our appointment yesterday that he is in the 95th percentile for size....good thing it is already a c-section!!

We are so excited to get to host Easter this year for my family! They are all coming to good 'ol Omaha! I really hope the weather is nice so we can be outside. Yesterday and today....it was HOT. I don't want hot but I don't want cold either...just spring!

Enjoy the photos of Addi! I hope you all have a safe and blessed Easter!
