Nighty Night

Feb 26- This is how I found Addison last night when I went to check on her...... I think she was in the process of drawing something!  She is so precious! Being alone the days can get really long but when I go in and look at Addi or Landon it all just melts away!  They are so sweet!  

Here is what she was drawing....I forgot to ask about it! It is amazing to me how Addison's drawing has changed. Everything now is so detailed!  I love this little girl so much!

Happy Birthday Ronan!

 Happy Birthday to Ronan!  We got to help him celebrate on Sunday night!  It was so much fun!  It is so amazing what 4 years in one place can do!  It is no secret that I LOVE OMAHA!  But what is even more amazing than this place...is the people that we know!  Tonight I got to see Vernon and Casie's family and over the years we have gotten to know them so going to an event it is like we are seeing our family!  I am truly blessed to be surrounded by such amazing people.  Thanks for making us feel so at home!

Ready for Church?

Well, Landon thought he should get himself ready for church on Sunday!  This is what he came up with.....

Shorts, a Cars t-shirt with a tanks top on inside out..oh and all covered in yogurt.  PERFECT!  He wasn't sure why he had to change! At least he tried!!!

A trip to the zoo!

Feb 17- We hadn't been to the zoo in a LONG time so we decided to go there after church.  When I asked Addi and Landon if they wanted to go to the zoo Addison got super excited "the real zoo....like in real life?"  It just made me laugh.  We had fun...it was pretty nice out almost 50 degrees!  We had fun in the aquarium.  We were looking in the big tank, the tunnel, and all of a sudden Landon looks at me "look mom there is a stingray." I look and back behind some plants there was in fact a stingray!  WHAT?  The only thing I can think of is that Landon remembers the stingrays that we got to touch at the aquarium in VA Beach this past fall.  I was amazed he remembered that!  But we didn't bring the stroller....2-year old legs don't go very fast!  Next time we are going to bring the stroller!

Ride'em Cowgir!

February 18- So for Christmas we gave Addi and her best friend Sophie matching shirts and a gift certificate for Boots & Bells Equestrian center.  They finally cashed in on the experience!  It was SO much fun!  Sophie and Addi got to groom "Credit" (the name of the horse) and then have a riding lesson.  They did amazing!  The lesson was pretty intense.  I am not sure that I could have done it! The only bad thing was that the arena that they rode in was SUPER cold because it wasn't heated.  The girls were so cold but they didn't want it to end either.  Landon even got to go for a ride!

 They played this game where they got the horse close to the sticks and then she would knock them down.  Landon was trying to knock over the polls.  It was a lesson in steering the horse!  Pretty advanced!  It was fun!

Overall it was a great experience!  I guess Sophie loved it....she is still talking about Credit a couple weeks later!  Woohoo.....that says it was a perfect gift! And the girls have the memory together...even better! 

Happy Valentines Day!!!

Happy Valentine's Day!  We had a busy day!  Landon and I were invited to participate in Addi's school party.  Landon liked the conversation hearts in the sensory tub!  He didn't quite get the listening thing.  Then in line he decided to act like a dino (so he told me) and looked like he was going to bite kids.  I think he was just playing around but got corrected by the teacher.  Yeah..what is school going to be like next year?  Oh my!

Then we had a fun play/lunch date with Jess and Bo!  We made heart shaped pizza and took some fun photos!  It really does make me happy how well our kiddos get along!  They are sweet BFF's!  It works out perfect for me!!!

We got the sweetest Valentine wishes ever from Bahrain of course!  Addi got invited to go on a Daddy/Addi date to the Symphony and Landon got a sweet email with a funny picture of an Alpaca....he looked at the pictures and said "crack me up mommy".  This kid does crack me up!  I got a sweet hand written note.....Bill went through all the work of scanning it and sending it to me!  He is so sweet!  He sent me beautiful flowers too!  I really do have an amazing husband!  I can't wait until we are together again!!!  Love You Baby!

Special Idea....

So Landon has gotten into painting.  We have done a little finger painting, painting little pieces of wood with chalkboard paint, some water coloring and he is excite about it!

After painting one day he woke up the next morning "Mommy I have a special idea....we paint?"  OR
"I a good painter"  I am glad that Landon is enjoying arts and crafts time!

January Fun.....

We had some fun deserts for New Years Eve! Landon decided to REALLY enjoy his!

Grandma came to visit and was able to make a little snowman when Landon was sleeping!  He was so excited about it!  Addi and Landon thought that Oliver (elf on the shelf) made it!

Date with Daddy

Before Bill went back to Bahrain he wanted to have a "date" with his beautiful little girl!  Addison got this dress for her birthday and wanted to wear it!  Casie reminded me of the carriage rides downtown.....perfect fit!  So, Addi got all dressed up and Bill wore his tux.  They went downtown and rode the horse drawn carriage (this girl is going to have some SERIOUS expectations of a boyfriend.....that is good very good!!).  Bill even brought with a princess book to read to his princess and a blanket too!  I guess that Addi got some serious attention!  Everyone thought she was an actual princess!!  Afterwards Bill and Addi found a little toy store and bought a new Madaline book....Madaline goes to D.C.

Landon LOVES the Vikings!  For Christmas he got the whole get-up! We had a fun time watching the Vikings season closer! Yeah they won against the Packers!!  Woohoo!  

Landon will choose to wear Vikings clothes no matter what!  He will even pull them out of the dirty clothes if he sees them in there!  "I wear Bikings mommy?"
