ANOTHER Birthday Surprise!

October 3, 2015-
Saturday night Auntie and Grandma flew in and the kiddos did not know anything at all about it.  Mom went up to check on Addison and she kinda woke up and said something about dreaming and went back to sleep!  Sunday morning Bill had to sing at church so we did that and went shopping at the outlet mall!  Fun for Steph, Mom and I...the kids stayed home with Daddy!  It was nice to be able to spend time together just hanging out!  We came home and introduced Grandma and Auntie to BonChon chicken and Duck Doughnuts!  They loved them both!  Ahhh who wouldn't???

Bill and I celebrated 13 years of being married!  Woohoo!  Since we had babysitters here we took advantage of it and were going to go to Pupatella's for Neapolitan pizza.  We got all the way there only to realize that they are closed on Monday's! Grrr....but we found a fun El Salvadoran place just down the street!  The people were super nice and we had pupusa's they were crazy yummy!  It was still an amazing date...anything would have been perfect...it is all about the company!

Today we all skipped school and work and went into D.C. for a little sight seeing.  We were able to get tickets to the top of the Washington Monument which was something Addison has been wanting to do for a long time. Auntie was able to score us tickets for a Capitol tour along with the Library of Congress!

Waiting to go up to the top of the Washington Monument

The views from the top were amazing!  The side the Capitol is on is all tore up. They are putting down some sort of irrigation system I guess!

 Love this picture!

Addison found a photo op in front of the horses that patrol the mall.
Then a little ways down the road we found the President's limo outside the Agriculture Building!  We waited for awhile but we had tickets to tour the Capital building and Library of Congress and it is a hike!

Library of Congress!  Really neat place!

Our little book worm found an opportunity to read!  They have a small children's library and that was really fun as well!
Here is what Landon decided to do...typical!
Cool view of the Washington Monument as we left the Capitol!
