What Happened?

I truly do not understand what has happened...I have no idea where summer has gone nor how I got this far behind on our blog!!  Ahhh!  It is now an overwhelming task but one I am going to conquer.

To recap.....we spent a little over a week at the end of June in Minnesota!  We were able to take in some Willmar Fest activities, catch up with some friends at the parade, spend some time on the lake, hang out at nana and papa's house getting dirty and lots of other fun stuff.  We came home and the 4th of July was here....my favorite holiday that I did not get a chance to decorate for!!  With July in full swing I had my MOPS retreat to prepare for as well as a fun visit from friends.

Then a surprise......Bill called and said he was coming to D.C. for a conference.  So, I made plans to fly out and visit.  With it being so last minute the kiddos went to stay with Nana and Papa once again.  I am SO VERY grateful that I have amazing parents willing to take on two busy kiddos anytime.  Thanks Mom and Dad...Bill and I really really appreciate it!  So I spent a week in D.C. relaxing during the day when Bill had his conference and spending lunch and dinner hanging out.  We did get a chance to look around for houses which was nice.  When Bill told me D.C. was an option I seriously thought we would be living on the national mall.  Well, come to find out D.C. is a pretty normal place...expensive but normal.  We were even able to take in a show while we were there.  It was an amazing week and a complete bonus! We are now 4 months down!  WOOOHOOO!!

Now for the recap in photos!

Story time with Nana!  Landon has really been loving his books lately!  I am thrilled that he will sit still long enough!  His favorite is "Freight Train" and "I Love Trucks" (which he ripped and continues to blame "Gma")
Auntie and Addi and Mommy went on a date!!  When we were home for Willmar Fest we took in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoats that was put on at First Covenant church in Willmar!  We got to see the Schueler's (almost all of them) perform along with the Newberg's!  Great job guys!  It was a fantastic show!
Great Papa and Landon!  Landon had no problem at all crawling up on papa's lap!  The kids had so much fun!  We even took a tour of the yard complete with the water pump!
 Making Great Nana laugh!
Cool Dude!  Landon LOVES riding all the things at Nana and Papa's house...there are two bikes and a 4-wheeler...plus a kids tractor!  It truly doesn't get better than that for Landon!
Shhhhh...Addi and Landon watching one of the million bunnies at Nana and Papa's house.
Our Little Cowboy!

He was laughing cause his hat fell off!

Flicka returns!!!!  Mom and Dad pulled this guy out of storage just for Addi and Landon.  I think Landon would have sat there all day.  They loved it.  It was ours when we were little!

On the Pontoon....we went out for a ride and Sidney was with...well my Dad knew a friend out on the lake and they had their dog with too.  Sidney, who HATES the water, even jumped in.  The kids freaked out that Sidney wasn't going to be okay.  I never knew they liked their dog that much!  It was a fun time enjoying the lake!  Even if we got rained on coming back in!

Landon knows how to melt his Nana!  He is such a cuddle bunny!  And how do you deny that!
Another favorite at Nana & Papa's house...the tractor!
 Farmer Landon!
To the park....Papa watched Addi and Landon on Saturday while Mommy, Nana and Auntie went shopping!  It was SO much fun to spend time with my Mom and Sis!  Thanks Papa for taking care of the kiddos!
