Minnesota....last summer trip!

So, we headed north yet again last week.  We traveled up for a wedding on friday night, congrats to Tim & Bri Asmus!  It was a beautiful wedding and Addi had a great time...she was my date and a very good one at that!

On Saturday morning I got the pleasure of helping out at Blomket's newest little antique shop.  Trash 2 Treasures was open and I was able to go and help Kelly!  It was a great deal of fun apart from dropping a table leaf on my toe.  I am just hoping that it will be healed well enough to finish training for and run my half marathon in September.  If not I suppose I have a good excuse for my crappy time!

Sunday brought us a bit south to Fairmont.  We stopped in to see Auntie, Uncle Trent, Lucas (totas according to Landon) and of course Maggie!  We got to hang out with Lucas on Monday and Tuesday while auntie and Uncle T worked...daycare had the week off.  I had a great time and of course Lucas couldn't escape without a photo shoot!  He LOVES the camera!  It is great!  He will smile away! Addi and Landon also got to feed the ducks, go to the park and the fair!  Landon was all about the cows (tows) until he got there....then he wanted nothing to do with them.  He did love the tractors though! Addi had fun as well.  I think she liked the rides!

I was a great trip...now we have to switch gears and start thinking about school.  Addi starts after Labor  day which is nice.   

Celebration!

So we had a little birthday celebration tonight for Landon and some of his pals!  It was so much fun!  It was simple but we had a good time!  My friend Jess made Landon his VERY OWN cake....she made that...isn't it so awesome!!! It was so thoughtful of her too!  Thanks Jess we love you!  The Schlueters and Hendricks were also present making it the perfect party!  The kiddos had fun playing while we got to chat a bit too!  It is so great that our kiddos just play and hang out!

 I am truly blessed to have wonderful kids and wonderful friends!  I don't think that this separation from Bill would be possible if I didn't have these great friends (and others not pictured) surrounding me.  Thanks guys for EVERYTHING you do for me and my family!  I Love you ALL!

Landon LOVES his dog!  So that meant that Sidney even got to get in on a couple of pictures.  I find Landon laying on the dog quite often and he always gets kisses!  It is funny the relationship between a little boy and his dog! Sidney you need to last forever! 

I tried, with little success, to take Landon's pictures.  Well, Addison was all ready to go!  She opted for a private photo shoot after Landon went down for a nap.  I left everything up to her...outfit, poses all if it...I just clicked the shutter!  Here is what we got! Man I have beautiful kids(NO mommy bias there!!)  It is that adorable husband of mine...thankfully they are all him!

HAPPY 2nd BIRTHDAY LANDON!!

Happy Birthday to our little boy!  I truly can not believe that he is two already!  I think he had a fun day!  It started out with birthday french toast sticks....they are his favorite.....then we opened presents with Daddy on facetime and then we had a surprise visit from Gma and Papa!  Landon was thrilled.  We went to see the trains and then went to lunch at Red Robin where they sang to him and gave him ice cream.  After a busy morning a nap was necessary!  Then another surprise...our friends Dave, Angie and Jenna were in town and stopped by to wish Landon a happy birthday! Landon got lots of wishes from Grandma Ida and Grandpa Joe, Auntie, Uncle T and Lucas and Breanna (his favorite babysitter) Overall, I think Landon had a great day...oh when I asked him what special snack he wanted he chose cookies!  Not a bad choice!  We'll have cake later! 

Some of Landon's favorites

He LOVES cows ever since he went with Nana to feed the cows at the farm he has been loving them.  I hear the word "tow" all the time!  

He has really recently loved playing with his trucks "too mommy" he grabs my hand and wants me to go to the playroom to play trucks!  

His favorite book is Peek-a-Who!  He will read it to you time after time...and every book is peek-a-who!  But the part I love is that he will sit still through an entire book and loves to read!  

He loves doing anything that is sister is doing and absolutely adores her.  I love watching them play together more and more.  Landon is so strong!  When it comes to pulling Addi in a wagon or pushing her in the car....he can do it!  I suppose there is only 12lbs that separate them!

Landon is just a happy little guy that can always make me laugh!  He has the best giggle and a smile that will melt you in an instant!  Thanks for making our world perfect little boy.....we absolutely adore you!!
