July 27- Bill was able to spend the morning volunteering at the Korean War Memorial. There was a special presentation because it is the 60th Anniversary of the Armistice. The Korean War is the war that my Grandpa fought in. Bill volunteered to honor my Grandpa and the sacrifices that he made so long ago! He never talked about very much and after reading a little about it I understand why. I do know that he was on the front lines and the thing I remember him telling me is "I hope my kids never have to see what I did." That alone is pretty powerful. I am so thankful that Bill was able to be there and hear President Obama speak and address and properly thank those veterans that were present. I was able to watch the program streaming live on the Pentagon Channel. It was very powerful and I thought the that President shared a very good message.

I was very thankful that Bill was able to take a couple of pictures for me!!! He got to watch the ceremony and if you watch the video you will see him! Behind the sidewalk third row back on the end!!
Bill thought this was funny....the guy didn't even realize he had a butterfly on his head!
