Virginia Beach

YEAH!!  We made it to VA Beach to see Bill.  The kiddos were really good on the airplane.  Who would have EVER thought the problem would have been in OMAHA!  The smallest airport.  So, we arrived with time to spare.  The ticket agent told us to wait...so we did.  Well I didn't realize how long we had waited.  We got up to security (which I have only ever seen 5 people max in line) and it was down the hallway!  I was immediately in a full sweat.  We were getting closers and closer to the departure time of our flight.  We were still going through security and it was 6:55 when the flight was to DEPART at 7:05.  I was seriously nearly in tears.  With a sprint through the terminal we somehow made it.  (Pretty sure that one was due to all the happy thoughts and prayers comin our way!!!)

We had a one hour layover in Chicago which I was a bit worried about too. O'Hare is a big airport.  I was studying the airport map and the whole bit.  We get there and I figure out where we need to go and that was a non-issue.  We ended up waiting at the gate eating some snacks.

We arrived in VA Beach and Bill was waiting just outside of the secured area.  Addi got to him first because Landon got side tracked by the police officer.  They were both super excited to see Daddy...and Daddy to see them.  Bill couldn't move without having two little kiddos wanting to know where he was going and when he would be back.

On Sunday we went to the beach with the kiddos.  They both absolutely loved it.  They would have hung out there all day.  Addi and Bill spent a lot of time look for creatures.  Landon found a pine cone and thought that was the coolest thing.  He also of course just loved digging in the sand.  We found a babysitter to come and watch the kiddos and Bill and I went out to dinner.  But not before a little walk on the beach ourselves.  Bill, being the romantic that he is had a little surprise up his sleeve.  He, with the help of my mom, arranged an amazing 10-year anniversary gift.  So, shortly after we were engaged I caught the band on my railing and it bent. So I had to get the band replaced. Recently the small diamond on the side cracked and we chose to replace them since there was no way to replace just the cracked one.  So the only thing original was the middle diamond.  Well, Bill took the parts to Elmquist and designed a ring for me with all the parts.  So now I have a new ring that is the sum of all the parts and it has a stone for Addi and one for Landon.  It is super cute! So we went to the beach and gave it to me...and even got sand on his knee again!  I adore Bill....he is my perfection!

Today we had a pretty low key day.  I am fighting a cold and made the mistake of taking nyquil last night.  That stuff knocks me out...so I was a bit groggy.  We went to see the planes at the little park and met Bill for lunch but that was about it. Tonight we had a fun movie night....muppets and pizza!!

Not sure what is on tap for tomorrow....we will probably drop Bill off to have a car and do a little sight seeing!!

Sorry there are no pictures I forgot the cord to download the photos to the computer.  The will be coming soon!!
