Nesbitt Surprise!!!

Well, we have a little announcement to make.......

Addison is going to be a BIG SISTER!!!

Yup, that is right. We are expecting in August! August 7th to be exact. It will likely be a bit sooner than that because this one will also be a c-section, therefore, scheduled.....yeah!! We are very excited! We have our 20 week ultrasound on Bill's Birthday! I thought that would be a fun birthday present! HOPEFULLY we will be able to find out if it is a boy or girl. As if we can wait! There is far to much to plan!!!

I have been feeling great. There were a few more food aversions this time but overall I can't complain. It is going to be worse in the heat of summer....but in countries that are not third world....there is this thing called AIR CONDITIONING!!

Spring Fever!!

We have some SERIOUS Spring Fever at the Nesbitt house! Yesterday I bought Addison a new raincoat. It is so funny how much she LOVED her raincoat from last year. And since it was too small I had been on a quest for a new one. Well, Old Navy to the rescue...and they even had boots to match..I couldn't resist!

She was napping when I went to find it and when I came back she was just getting up. I told her I had a surprise for her and took it out of the bag. She just squealed "A NEW RAINCOAT" It was so funny! She loved it so much that we couldn't get her out of it! And first thing this morning she put her boots back on! I am so glad she likes it!!!

Finger Paint!!!

We weren't doing a whole lot on Saturday and thought it would be a good afternoon to break out the finger paint. We painted so much we ran out of paper! Addi had a great time. Toward the end everything ended up that same old gray color! But it was still a fun way to spend part of the afternoon!

Before.....

After

Twinkle Twinkle...

Our little singer....Addison decided to perform at breakfast on Saturday morning. She loves to sing. She also likes to see herself on the camera which makes it difficult to "catch" her. This morning she decided to cooperate. We hope you enjoy her little song!

Swimming Lessons!!

Tonight was our first night of swimming lessons!! Casie, my awesome neighbor, used to work at a pool and got us an awesome deal for private lessons. So tonight was the first session. It was only Addison and Sophie in the pool for most of the time. There was another child there with his mom. Addi did well, she was a little timid and really, really, really cold. I felt so bad...she just shivered. He little curls bouncing.

We spent most of the day talking about swimming lessons and we came home from getting the oil changed and Addi looked out the window at the pool and said "Mommy, we have to move all the snow!" I just laughed and told her that we were going to a different pool. She was sure okay with that! I am worried that Addison got my coordination...which means she has none! Lets hope not!!! I do have to remember that it is the first time she has done this in a long time and she is only two. I am hoping that we can use the pool to practice for the next few months before ours gets opened. At this rate it might be August before it is open!

Happy Valentine's Day!!

On Tuesday we had a celebration at the library!! Addi was so excited to go back to the library! The program just started up again after having taken a break over the holidays. She was very excited to see Sophie, Vollen and Casie!

I was surprised at how shy she was considering it is all she talked about for two days. She didn't really get into the songs and was a bit overwhelmed passing out Valentine cards. But she had a great time and got new books to read.

We are still here....

Yes we are still here!! It has been awhile since the last post. Addison and I were in MN for a bit, then I flew to Virginia Beach to spend a weekend with Bill who was there for a clas. Now we are all back safe and sound in Omaha! YEAH! Despite flight delays for me with this wonderful winter weather I made it to Virginia Beach to spend a weekend with Bill. They are wimps when it comes to snow out there so there wasn't a lot to do. I was hoping for nicer weather but oh well. Bill and I got to find some fun places to eat and even do some shopping (just what he wanted!!)

Addison had a great time with Nana and Papa! There was a snow storm there too so there was a lot of indoor play time!! Sorry Nana about the giant messes!! Addison is really really good at them! I guess that is what an active imagination gets you.

Once I got back from Virginia Beach we made a trip to Sunburg to see my Grandma and Grandpa. We had a great time!!! Addison had both my Grandma and Grandpa in the palm of her hand. She asked my Grandpa is she could see the dog and I have never seen him move so fast! It was a great visit. I don't think they stopped smiling the entire time we were there!

Addison was very excited to go pick Daddy up from the airport. She had been talking about getting him a balloon the entire time he was gone. So with balloon in hand we arrived at the airport. She was all decked out in her little Valentines outfit and looked pretty cute! Both Daddy and Addi were excited when they finally got to see each other! 3 weeks is a really long time for a 2 year old!

Dedicated Mommies!!

It is crazy just how much Casie and I love our little girls! We got up this morning at 4:30 and arrived at the Millard Foundation Preschool at 5:15 to wait in line to ensure that we would get a spot for Tuesday/Thursday morning preschool. We aren't quite as dedicated as the Dad that was there at 3:30....I think that is WAY crazy! We had to sit outside and freeze until about 6:30 or so but then they let us wait inside the building. But Casie and I were PREPARED! We had every warm clothing item you can think of, lawn chairs, warm drinks and of course cameras!!!!!!!!

We were very very happy when we were 4th in line and got exactly what we wanted. There were 15 spots open so we maybe didn't have to go so early....but we wanted to be sure! Now we are all set for Fall and have two very excited little girls! Would I do it again......yeah...for school...not concert tickets or anything else but school...sure! And since we are in Nebraska and not other places in the country it was actually fun chit chatting with the other parents. Everyone was so nice and there was no fighting or rudeness. I LOVE THE MIDWEST!!

That is all the excitement for now!

Special Treats with Nana and Papa!!

Nana and Papa came to visit this weekend and in our travels we got to have a special treat! We stopped at Krispy Kreme for a treat! Addison told us she wanted a brown doughnut! She got just that! We had such a fun weekend and even completed a few house projects! Thanks Dad for fixing the garbage disposal in Bill's absence! It really is great having family close for SO many reasons!!
