National Running Day!

Ya know...there seems to be a day for everything...but this one got me excited! What a fun thing..it is June 3rd! Who wants to run with me?? I got the info from the New York City marathon page. I am trying to decide if I should register for the lottery or not. Of course there is a good chance I wouldn't get in...but you never know. So the big decision is am I ready to train for a marathon again? I want to beat my last time but it is a big time committment and Nebraska gets hot!! I dunno..something to think about!

I don't know much today...Addi is resting and I am enjoying quiet time!! I am looking forward to a date with my adorable husband tonight. We are going to see Wicked! He got tickets for his b-day! It will be fun!

Fun in the Pool!!

The weather this weekend was great! It made for a fun time in the pool. It was our first time getting in! Addison had a great time splashing around. She really does love the water.

On Monday I went for a run and then jumped in...it felt good! I think despite the work it is going to be lots of fun for summer!

In other news........Addi used the potty! Last night before bed I asked her if she needed to go cause her diaper was dry....she said yes (which she has said before and not gone). But we tried and she went!! Bill and I were both very excited. I think it was a bit of a fluke cause she hasn't gone today. But I will go ahead and celebrate the small victories! She also said I LOVE YOU.."Luv yoo" it melted my heart!! It must have been that visit with Uncle Jon that made her smart!!!

Weekend Fun!

We had a great weekend. The weather here was great! Bill's sister, Annette, was in town and we had a fun time going to the zoo and relaxing by the pool. Addi certainly loved all the attention she got from 'on-ie nette'. Bill's brother Jonathan stopped by for a short visit on his way to New York. Addi got to have breakfast with Jonathan. She was more than happy to tell him all about puppies and apples. It was a short visit but was fun to see Jonathan. We hope that you enjoy the pictures!!



It is crazy that is almost June! We had fun hanging out in the pool this weekend. I think it is going to be a fun summer addition!

Funny Addi Story

So it has been awhile again....sorry! I have been trying to re-do a bedroom. It was painted with a race car theme...not really what I wanted in the guest room. Bill has been traveling for work and is getting ready to zoom to SanFrancisco for his brother Jonathan's change of command! Congrats Jonathan! We are excited to spend the weekend with Bill's sister and brother! They haven't met Addi yet so they are in for a surprise!

Speaking of which, we have been trying to teach Addison the importance of sharing and she understands for the most part and just needs more practice. We were driving yesterday and we saw a police car and after she told me what a police car said I explained that police officers were our friends. Immediately she started to say "share, share!" I just started laughing!

Everyday she does something that just amazes us! She is truly the most amazing gift ever!

We hope that all of you have a wonderful weekend spending time with family, grilling, doing yard work and just getting ready for SUMMER! The pool is warming up and soon will be ready for visitors!!

One Happy Little Girl!

Addison was so happy to have her Daddy home! She was running all over, dancing, playing with Sidney (which results in giggling like crazy)and learning how to do flips from Daddy. Bill got home last week, I am just a slow-poster!

This weeks challenge has been trying to get the pool open. The previous owners were nice enough to come over and help us get it going. I have no idea what we would have done otherwise. We are very thankful for the help. It doesn't seem like it is going to be too bad. It was a lot of work getting all the winter gunk out but it is sure to get easier.

Oh and Happy belated Mother's Day to all of you Mommy's!!! I had a great day. My jet-lagged husband was sweet enough to set an alarm so he could make me a wonderful breakfast and the sweetest, homemade, card ever! He gave me a fun craft tool and Addi got me a t-shirt with a jogging stroller on it that says 'This is how we roll' I LOVE IT!!! I am certainly a spoiled Mommy!!

Daddy's Home!

Bill returned safely from a trip to Korea. We were very excited to have him home, he was only gone a week but it seemed a lot longer than that. Addison certainly missed her Daddy. Everyday she would point to pictures or ask where he was. She had fun giving Daddy his "boon".

Fun with Friends!!!

We had a wonderful picnic play date today with Sophia (our neighbor!) This morning we made some fun treats and got to have a fun picnic at Sophie's house! They have lots of fun together! Thanks guys for the fun time!

Girly-Girl

Nana visited over the weekend and brought with a little surprise for Addison. She is such a girly girl and is very entertaining. She had a great time running around the house with her little outfit and liked how the fabric felt. She is so funny.

So after our company left we had to run to Target. As we were leaving Addison wanted something on the floor that I couldn't reach so I gave her a pack of gum that I had in the front to play with. My thought was she had no idea what to do with a pack of gum. I was very wrong. I get to the stop light and look back at her...she is chewing gum. I am not kidding. She took the gum out of the wrapper and was chewing it. I had to laugh and asked her to give it to me and she did...but I was just surprised. She is such a little sponge!

May Day Fun!!

Let me just say it is AWESOME to have great neighbors! Addison got a May Day basket from our neighbor Sophia (with a little help from her amazing mom who had a baby a week ago!!) They didn't make such a quick get away...little legs aren't that fast! It brought back fun memories from when I was little. Thanks guys for the treats!!

It is just such a great feeling for me to be in a place that I love, feel safe, and am not worried about what we are breathing. And then on top of that we are surrounded by great people and are close to family. We are truly blessed!
