January 2017- I am not sure how it happened that I fell off the earth for months....well, I know how it happened we had to move.  Because it had been so long updating the blog became an insurmountable task.  Well, I am going to get it done.  Because with the move our lives changed more than a little bit. We are back in the "real Navy".  No more long holiday weekends and  nice Saturday mornings...nope...we are back to underway time, duty days and LONG hours.  Well, Bill is, which is a big change for our family.  But we are making the best of it and will continue to do so!  The blog is a good way for Bill to stay up to date on happenings when he is floating around the world.

In order to keep the blog in order...so one day I can turn it into a book again...I am going to rewind!

Spring 2016

 Mom & Dad came out to VA because we thought we had to go to CA house hunting.  We were able to secure a lease on a town-house so we didn't need to go after all.   

So, we got to celebrate Grandma's 62nd Birthday with her!

Arlington National Cemetery 

Since we had two great babysitters Bill and I decided to take a little road trip.  We went to Hot Springs, VA.  There is this resort that has natural hot springs.  It was really neat.  It reminded me of something out of Dirty Dancing.  The spa was very relaxing.  It was just what we needed.  It was a long drive but we had fun!  

Once we got back home the next day we took our Circus to the Circus!  I think we all had a great time!

Addison spent another season in FPYC track and field.  They didn't have as many meets this year but she participated in Javelin, long jump, and the 100m and 50m run.  

Always a reason for ice cream when Nana and Papa are in town!!

Run For the Ridge!

Run for the Ridge....3rd year in a row!  This year it was kinda rainy at the start but it quit a few minutes into the race.  Landon ran most of the way and much of it without complaining too much.  Addison did a great job and kept about a 10:30 pace!  

I can not believe how much Landon looks like Addison at that age!

 So fun!  We had a good time running...not really together cause Bill ran with Addison and I ran with Landon but it was still a fun morning! 

Easter 2016

March 22- Happy Easter!  It came really early this year!  The kids had a good time collecting eggs in the front yard from the Farndon Court Easter Bunny!  There were a few hidden inside too!  Then there was also an easter egg hunt at church.  I made some food for the brunch that was served between services.  We made a nice dinner but other than that it was a pretty low key day!  It was nice!

Landon Rides without Training Wheels!!!

Murch 25-
So this morning Landon was out trying to ride his bike.  Roland was outside too.  Bill and I came out and were chatting with the Fabia's and while we were chatting Landon just took off on his bike!  He said he thinks Mr. Roland has special powers and helped him earlier that day and that is why he could ride without training wheels!  He is doing a great job...just like he has been doing it forever! I think all the scooter riding has helped lots!

Spring Break

Spring Break 2016- we decided that we weren't going far away since we still have stuff here in DC to discover and this is our last chance.  We did a few city things.  We went to the Air and Space Museum again (the kiddos fav). And we went to the Art gallery.  That was really neat!  We really liked walking around and just looking at the paintings and sculptures.  Landon seemed to enjoy the sculptures.  At one point Addison and I were looking at a painting and he asked if he could go and look at the sculpture some more.  He looked at it and then came back and said that he was good now since he looked at all the sides of it.  I just thought that was so funny!  The rest of spring break the kids spent playing outside with Abigail and Aaron.  I do think it was a relaxing time for everyone.  An actual break! We went out to dinner one night with the Frayar's!  We just went to Ihop but it was fun!
