Christmas Program at Church

December 19
Bill took the kiddos to practice and I guess Landon decided at the last minute that he did NOT want to be Joseph.  So, he was going to be a Wiseman.  Then he said that he didn't want to wear the purple outfit that he wanted a different one.  Bill was not a happy Daddy!  But it got all worked out and Landon got to stand next to Addison so he was good.  Landon doesn't like a lot of attention drawn toward him.  I think Joseph was a little too much pressure!  Now he just had to stand next to Addison and he could do that!

School, Girl Scouts...

It was a busy December but I feel like we got to do some fun things!  Addison had a party at school that Landon and I got to help with.  Addison went to a local nursing home and read stories to some of the residents.  She is so good with people!  She was actually reading and talking to the residents...many of the other girls were just having snacks!  The weather here has been so warm!  It is supposed to be 70 on Christmas!

Landon's Christmas Program

Landon did a great job at his Christmas Program today!  He was standing next to Carter and something was pretty funny.  Mrs. Moore had to quiet them one time.  He actually sang a little this year.  I would catch him in the car singing sometimes but when I would ask him about it he would stop.  Addison had wacky day at school today so she was dressed all crazy and Landon looked nice!  So, we had to take a picture together!

 So fun....Landon decided that he should take this picture!  He did a good job! 

Wreaths Across America!

December 11, 2015-
Today we got to participate in Wreaths Across America.  We went to Arlington National Cemetery and laid wreaths on the graves.  It was a really neat, moving experience.  They had it organized well so that helped.  Addison's Girl Scout troop was going so we decided to all go.  We met the troop there and it was really a lot of fun.  And it was nice to do something for others at Christmas!  We got to see the processional in and it was trucks and State Troopers from all across the country.  We also saw the President's helicopter fly over!  We were sure that he saw us!  The weather was so nice!  We really got lucky!  After we left and were headed home we drove by Bill's work and there was a taco truck..so we stopped and had a picnic outside of Bill's office.

SANTA

December 9, 2015
Tonight we decided to see Santa!  There is a nursery here that has a great display and a great Santa!  We got there not long after it opened but because it was a thursday night there was no wait!  WOOHOO!  Santa took a lot of time chatting with Addison and Landon.  Addison asked for an Orbeez spa and Landon asked for a harmonica.  The harmonica comes after watching the okee-dokee-brothers! Santa asked a question about Christmas looking for an answer like we spread joy.  Addison explained that Christmas is a time to celebrate Jesus' birthday.  She is so funny!  Santa was pretty impressed with her answer!  We got some great pictures and none of the stress of the mall!

Addison the Narrator

Addison is the narrator extraordinare this Christmas!  She is the narrator in her school musical Boney Legs and she is the narrator at church too!  She is so brave and she is a great reader!  Addi we are so proud of the girl that you are!

Gingerbread House

December 6, 2015-  We decided to make a gingerbread house!  It was just a kit and it works WAY better when you use a glue gun to put it together!  As if anyone is going to eat it anyway!  We all had a great time!  Landon was so precise and did such great job!  Addison's favorite was creating things with the fondant!
