Happy Spring!  The colors of spring are FINALLY popping out after a VERY long winter here!  These pics are from our neighbors blooming magnolia tree.

Busy Weekend!

This weekend is crazy busy!  But full of fun stuff!  On Saturday morning we started out with Run for the Ridge!  It is a 5k that the PTA runs as a fund raiser!  It was awesome!  Addison ran the ENTIRE way....almost!  She finished in 38:30 which is pretty amazing for 6-year-old legs.  I am pretty sure that I was slower than that when I started running in my mid-twenties!  We are SUPER proud of Addison!  Landon and Bill were great fans with cow bells and the camera!  Landon even ran the last 100 yards or so with us!  He was pretty impressed with himself!  It was pretty funny!

Next we were on to our next event which was to celebrate Sarah's 7th Birthday!  They went to a pottery place and painted their own creations!  It was fun!  I was amazed at how much they all concentrated! 

 Sunday was more fun at the Nelson's house for a spring BBQ.  It was great food and fun with friends! The weather was great!  Hannah was so kind as to pass out beautiful Easter baskets to everyone which contained jelly beans!  Landon I guess REALLY liked them and ate ALL of them! He ate some good-for-you-food too...and then we were off to Reid's birthday party at the My Gym.

Landon felt pretty special that he was getting to go to a party without Addison.  She had a girl scout meeting!  Landon had a great time running around, jumping in the balls and being wild.....it was time for cupcakes.......well....those jelly beans...yea..a little much...because Landon got sick!  He threw up ALL OVER! Luckily it was on the tile and not the carpet! Still super embarrassing! After he got sick he was ready to join the party again!  He couldn't figure out why we had to leave!  Oh boy!

Spring?

It has been a LONG winter here in Northern Virginia!  There was more than 30" of snow when the average is something like 10!  I am getting blamed by our neighborhood for brining MN to VA!  We are happy to report that the we are starting to thaw which means fun times outside again!!!

Campin Trip

March 29- Addison had a camping trip ALL day with her Girl Scout troop.  They left by 7:30 in the morning and didn't return until 9:30!  That is one long day for a 6-year-old!  I guess she did great and was a sweet girl.  It really sounded like she had a great time!  She is really loving Girl Scouts and all the activities!  Of course the social butterfly likes to be busy!

Heading out!  Thank Goodness Addi was hanging out with Hannah, Caitlyn and Mary!!! I had nothing at all to worry about!!!  It was yucky weather though...rain and cold ALL day!

Landon was SUPER SUPER excited because he got to go to the gym with Daddy!  He was all excited to wear a cool outfit and go to Crossfit with Daddy!  There was even a kids class too!  I went for a run and helped out at the consignment sale at Landon's school!

So Addison has been talking about her tooth being loose FOREVER!  Well, today at school she finally lost her first tooth!  I guess she almost lost it but Mrs. Sheftic found it in the trash can?  It was an exciting day!  You can hardly tell it is missing because her other teeth are coming up right behind them!

It is gone...and the other one is barely hanging on! 

 The tooth fairy visited.....and left glittered money and a note!  Pretty sure this was the first tooth amount and not every tooth!    I guess as Bill was putting Addison to bed she had written a note to the tooth fairy....she was concerned that she forgot to warn her about Sidney..."but he is just a dog and just wants to be pet."

March 18-
Happy Birthday to Bill!  It was a wonderful day!  We got to celebrate with one of Daddy's favorites...ribs and chocolate cake!  Bill got a smoker for his birthday....I am seeing lots of yummy BBQ in our future!  I can't explain how lucky we are to have this incredible person in our lives! Bill is an amazing husband and a wonderful Daddy!  We are truly blessed!  Happy Birthday Baby!

Date with Daddy!

March 15- Tonight Addison had a date with her Daddy!  It was a Father/Daughter Dance through Girl Scouts!  Addi and two of her other friends Hannah and Stephanie decided to get together before and get all dolled up!  They did hair and nails and makeup!  I made some Shirley Temples and it was great! It felt like a mini Prom!  So, when Mary was talking about this dance she said the Trevor, Hannah's Dad, was going black tie!  So that is what I told Bill.  Apparently black tie was quite literal...Hannah wanted him to wear a black tie!  So, Bill was the ONLY Dad in a tux!  I told him it just shows dedication!!!

Mary found some great press on nails...no one was going to come after these girls!  They were READY!

 Landon was such a good sport....he just came along and willingly drank a Shirley Temple!  He is such a go with the flow kind of kid!  We are surely lucky!  He and I had a mini date at home.  We snuggled on the couch and watched Jake and the Neverland Pirates! He wanted to play Yathzee too but we ran out of time!
