Coffee Date!!!

So this morning we were moving slowly for no particular reason. One of the things we decided to do was have a "coffee date". I made a yummy toffeenut latte and made Addi some steamed milk with a bit of flavor in a little espresso cup. Oh my goodness...she thought she was SO special. I just had to laugh at her.

Happy Monday!

Well, we had our LAST Dr appointment today before baby Nesbitt makes his grand appearance. Bill was able to go too so that was great! Other than getting some questions answered we don't know much more than we did before. This guy seems pretty comfortable in there. No sign of him coming out yet. I have had no contractions or anything so the Dr. thought that I would likely make it to the scheduled date. A week from tomorrow! AUGUST 3rd!

After the appointment we went to see that we were registered and all that. Addison of course made lots of new friends. When we got there it was one girl at the desk. By the time we left I think she had captured the attention of the entire staff. Addi just has that ability I guess. She is very excited to meet her baby brother. I am not sure what her expectations are. She knows he is going to be small but I do think she believes she is getting a new playmate.

Addison looked SUPER cute today to go to the Dr. She HAD to wear a dress. Thanks Auntie Pat and Uncle Ron for the adorable dress. She got lots of compliments on it. She calls it her dancing dress. Because according to Addison she can dance really well in it!!

1st Haircut!!

It is hard to believe that yesterday was Addison's very first haircut. I was a little worried just taking her to anyone so I waited and waited...I think Daddy was a little worried too. The lady that we went to, Terri, was great! She took off just a little to even everything up and Addison of course was thrilled. She thought she was such a big girl. She was actually quieter than I thought she would be. That was until the ladies started asking her questions. Then the animated answers came spewing out. One of the ladies told her that she looked pretty and asked if she was going to go to lunch. Addison told her that she wanted to go to lunch at "Jason's Jelly" because she likes the tiny muffins and crackers. She is just so funny.

Update on Baby Nesbitt

Well at the Dr. today I measured at about 40 weeks! So now it is up to the little man when he is coming out. To think I have two more weeks of being this big is a bit exhausting!! But he seems healthy with a strong heartbeat (147 today) so that is great! I just hope everything, no matter when it happens, goes well. Addison continues to be very excited. She told me today in the car that her baby brother was crying for his mommy. That he wanted Addi's mommy. Then she said Mommy Nesbitt. I have no idea where she comes up with this stuff. I am happy to have a bit of quiet...she was talking just so she wouldn't fall asleep and that can really make your ears tired!

I am HUGE!!

My tummy is so huge....it barely seems attached sometimes...that is until I try to bend over. I can't believe how big I have gotten this time. I don't remember being this big with Addi. But there is a lot that is different this time. I feel a lot more kicks and aches and pains than I ever did with Addison. I do wonder if this guy is going to wait until August 3rd. Part of me hopes so since it will be much easier logistically. But it is hot and this isn't the most comfortable state I have been in either...so early wouldn't be so bad. This is about the only "belly picture" we have taken but you can plainly see that I am GINORMOUS! We have a Dr appointment tomorrow. We are at weekly appointments, which I don't remember having last time either. I guess we will see what the Dr has to say! Until he decides to come I will keep waddling around!

Mommy's Little Helper!

Addi is so funny. She LOVES to help with whatever she can. She has been feeding the dog now for awhile. She normally does it all by herself. This may explain why Sidney looks a bit bigger than normal. But she is so proud of herself. I think she is going to be a great Big Sister. On Saturday we were sitting at the table and she said that she wanted to give her baby brother a hug and a kiss. So she pulls up my shirt and starts talking to my tummy after the hug and kiss of course. She was tickling his feet, and just telling him that she was excited to hold him. Then I asked her what her baby brother said...."He said I Love You Big Sister!". I just had to laugh. Addison is as excited as the rest of us! I do wonder if she understands that he is going to come out not being able to do much. I can't wait to see her reaction.

Date Night!

Saturday night Bill and I got to have a date! WOOHOO!! The first in a long time and sadly probably the last time in awhile. Bill picked a great restaurant in Dundee ( a little area of Omaha). It was a little Parisian Bistro. The food was great and the neighborhood surrounding it was so cute. Even though it was SUPER hot we went for a little walk to check out all the cool old houses. It was lots of fun. I forget how great it is to just talk to my husband without having to keep one eye on a two year old. It is nice to have time together and remember all the things that we used to love doing together and took for granted. Thanks for the great date baby! I had a wonderful time!!!

Addison had a great time with Heather. She LOVES Heather. She even told Steph when she called at 3:40 that "I have to go and get ready for Heather." Even though she wasn't coming until 6!
