Normal days.....

So I have been bad about blogging normal days lately so I thought I would enlighten you with this picture.  It just made me laugh.  Landon loves boots..not his boots but Addi's boots.  Somehow the pink winter boots and the flowered rain boots are way cooler than his boy ones!  The hat was just funny and made me think of Peter Pan.  I do adore this little boy!

Funny Addi stories....
We were walking into the gym for swimming lessons the other day and Landon spotted a penny on the floor.  He was on his hands and knees and was not leaving without this penny.  So he and Addi are walking into the locker room and Addi looks at Landon and says "Hey Landon do you want to give me that for my ipad?"  She is totally convinced that she is going to buy herself an ipad..with a pink case!

Today in the car, "Landon I am a Veterinarian, you know I like to be healthy and eat my vegetables!"

Landon decided to bust out "happy birthday to Addi" today while we were driving!  He is talking so much.  He is a little recorder saying everything he hears.  He likes to talk about animals and so I ask him what various animals say and he tells me and then I ask him what Landon says "Love Mommy"!!  It melts my heart every single time!  (this one would be thanks to my friend Renee!)  

Vala's Pumpkin Patch

I LOVE Vala's Pumpkin Patch...I think it is just a little place of happiness!  As an added bonus it makes an amazing backdrop for fall pictures.  This year we decided to get the season pass.  On wednesday Landon and I went while Addison was in school.  We had such a fun time.  Landon got to lead the charge so we ended up looking at the animals a lot.  Landon was petting all the animals and telling me what they were...then a sheep baaed at him and he went running.  I thought it was pretty funny!  We even watched the pig races.  They really race the pigs. It is like Worthington where they race turkeys!   I thought it was pretty funny and Landon was well entertained.

Romantic...

So, I married that guy....you know...the one that makes ALL the other guys look bad!  Yup he is all mine!  I was in MN for the weekend to attend my cousins confirmation as well as to take some senior pictures....Bill had flowers delivered to my parents house from the SAME florist that we got our wedding flowers from!  I didn't even know that he knew which one it was!  I was impressed to say the least.  They were the same flowers that we had the day we got married!  I am a lucky lady!! Thanks baby for making my day from so far away!  I LOVE YOU!

added bonus..I tried on my wedding dress and it still fit!!! Could have been a bad day if it didn't but Bill wasn't there anyway! 

A big waahoo for the farmers it kept Landon entertained for 5 1/2 hours two separate days!  What am I going to do when there are no tractors? 

Happy Ten Years Baby!

I truly can not believe that Bill and I are celebrating our ten-year wedding anniversary!  It feels like it wasn't that long ago that I was planning a wedding!  Don't get me wrong....I would do that again in a second...especially with pinterest....but I would only marry Bill again.  He might go for it if I could assure him I wouldn't spend so much time on pictures.  Can't promise that...so I guess we will have to shoot for the amazing10 year anniversary vacation!!!

I am such a lucky woman to be married to the love of my life and my best friend!  Bill is the most amazing husband!  I joke that he listens more to me than I listen to myself.  The thing is... it is true!!  He is so in-tune to who I am and what makes me tick it is amazing! Even from a million miles away he makes me feel like a great wife and mom.  I am not very good with words...especially when it comes to describing someone so important to me!  Bill, I LOVE YOU more than I can put into words and I will for every day of my entire life!  Thanks for the last ten years and making each day amazing!  I am so excited to see what awaits for us!

Happy 5th Birthday Addison!!!

I really can not believe that Addison is F-I-V-E years old.  She is of course more than happy to tell anyone that she is five.  I am just not sure where the time has gone.  I think we could take a pause now for a couple of years anyway.  I want to fight off 13 for as long as possible.

I hope that Addison had a wonderful birthday.  I tried to add some fun little touches....I hung streamers from her door...top to bottom.  I thought it would be a fun way to wake up.  Well, I surely thought wrong!  She woke up completely freaked out.  At 6:30 I hear "Mom what is in my door?"  I told her that it was just paper and she could walk through it. A little while later she was at the side of my bed.  I explained to her that it was just a decoration to wish her a happy birthday.  She was okay with it then but wasn't quite sure.  After a few minutes though she was ready to go downstairs to see what else was in store.  There were balloons and a message on the mirror in her bathroom.  All that was fine!

She got pancakes with whip cream and sprinkles and for lunch McDonalds and Face-time with Daddy!   It is so amazing that she got to kinda spend her birthday with Daddy!  He at least got to be there while she opened her presents.  The one present that we gave her was a bottle of sand, a plane and a picture of Daddy....we then explained to her that she was going to take a trip in 12 days to go and see Daddy in VA Beach.  I think she gets it...she just doesn't get excited.  So her reaction was what we both expected...just calm and taking it all in.  Later when Brianna stopped she told her all about it!  Addi just doesn't get too excited about anything.  I know that as the time gets closer that she will be more excited and especially when she sees her Daddy!!

Tonight she had her birthday party with some school friends and of course her BFF Sophia!!  It was a princess party and it was fun!  A little more drama than I was expecting from a five year old party but it was good.  Addi dressed up in her new dress up dress and I think felt like a princess!

Addison is such a sweet, sincere, thoughtful little girl.  She shocks me with her compassion and understanding of others.  Even with this deployment she is aware that Bill, as well as our family, is making a sacrifice for our country.  I am just so proud of her.  I feel so lucky to be her mom!!

Halfway

YEAH....as of September 30th we are officially halfway done with this deployment business!  I am SO excited!  It is nice to know that we are on the downhill.  I think of it in terms of running....does that mean I am a runner???  I love downhills....so I am hoping and praying that things continue to go smoothly.  I am so excited to just be with Bill day-to-day! We celebrated with doughnuts on the way to church....yeah...not such a wonderful idea on my part..oh well, nothing a little water and a stop at the bathroom didn't fix!  And then we went out to dinner at Red Robin...Addi's choice!  She had spaghetti and was a happy girl.

Looking forward to time together as a FAMILY!
