Last Day of School for Landon (and me)

It was Landon's last day of preschool as a 4 year old!  He could go to Kindergarten next year but I think Pre-K will be a better fit.  We will also be looking at a move after next school year so he would be able to start fresh with a kindergarten class.

Memorial Day Picnic on Farndon Court

Picnic Time!  It is officially Summer!  We had our kick off to summer picnic in Farndon Court!  It was a great time...like usual.  Bill grilled some delish chicken.  He has made some great food on his Big Green Egg.  I am a huge fan!

Silly Friends!

Yeah a family picture....not great but I will take it!
 We Love Roland!
 Can't forget abut Popsicles!!

Farm Day for Girl Scouts

We had a great trip to the farm with Addison's Girl Scout Troop.  It was a bit of a drive but worth it.  The people were SO nice.  Addi got to collect eggs, groom a horse, go on a hay ride, learn about bees, see baby chicks, and plant a sunflower!  It was a great trip!

Mother's Day Tea at Preschool

We were lucky enough to have Grandma visiting over Mother's Day so she got to join Landon and I for the Mother's Day tea at preschool.  It was great!  Landon made all kinds of special gifts for me.  A bowl with fingerprint fish, a neat survey where he thought I was 1600 years old but I only weighed 100 pounds.  Geez I am not a sea turtle!

Some more of Nana & Papa's Visit

Nana and Papa got to do a lot of "ordinary" things.....like go to soccer.  Landon absolutely loves soccer.  He always had the biggest smile on his face when he is playing.  I know I am his mom and I am going to be biased...but he is good!  He has great coordination and ball control.  Because he is big I think the other parents wonder if he is in the wrong age group.  We even checked because we were worried about it.  But he was with his age.  They usually play little games and then at the end of practice the parents spread out to the boundaries of the field and they play a little bit of a game.  Well, Landon scored all 4 goals for his team.  He didn't think much of it....he was just having fun.

Landon getting ready to play!

So, this was Addison....she is SO funny!  She REALLY likes to read! Soccer or not there is a book in her hand! We don't leave home without a bag packed full of notebooks and books.

Landon running down the field...kids are so funny to watch.  One time we thought Landon was taking the ball the wrong way but he was only going around the other kids.  So he has strategy too!

 One Happy Little Boy!

Later he took on Papa!!

Mother's Day we went to the Park while Bill smoked some yummy food!

Addison painting the cool stable that Papa built her!

HAPPY 60th Birthday Papa! I truly can't believe my Dad is 60!  He doesn't look or act like he is 60! For that I am truly thankful!

Landon and Sidney going for a little ride.  We HAD to get rid of the bike. It had a hole in the tire and made the loudest clunking sound down the street.  But Landon liked that bike because he could "go fast!!" Landon LOVES Sidney so much and Sidney is such an Addi puppy!  He sleeps in her room and always has.  But Landon really does love Sidney more!

Nana & Papa's Visit!!

We had lots of adventures when Nana and Papa visited.  One of the things that Landon wanted to do is to take Papa to the "Money Museum".  So we made a trip to the Bureau of Engraving and Printing! It was a great day and we zipped right into a tour.  We then went to Bill's work and met him and he took us to the Pentagon.  There was a bit of a problem....they canceled his badge a year to early..so Bill had a mess to deal with.  We got to see the 9/11 memorial and the inside.  We will have to go next time!

I guess we wear papa out!

Matthew West

May 1-
Bill bought me tickets to the Matthew West concert forever ago!  I have been super duper excited!  He even bought the VIP tickets so we get to go early for the meet and greet.  Matthew West is someone I have been following since he was playing the college circuit trying to make it! Well, he made it and is awesome.  I am so glad that Bill got to go and see how awesome Matthew West is!  He had his family at the show. It was just neat!  Not the greatest picture but we had a great time!  His new album is awesome too!  The day it came out he did 24 concerts in 24 hours.  He was at Walmart at midnight...and talked about being at a Pancake house at 4am.  He just is a top notch guy!
