Addison's Patriotic Show at Laurel Ridge

March 25-
Today Addi had her patriotic show at school.  She was so excited.  They each had a line to say...Addison had been practicing.  She is a natural like her daddy!  She has an awesome singing voice too....not out of tune and all over like most kids!  It will make for a great hobby!
Addi as she walked in!
 Saying her line
 Seriously....she is adorable!
Addison with her biggest fan!  Bill took the program and a pen to her when it was over and asked for her autograph.  She of course rolled her eyes at him but still signed the program!  I loves these two!
Landon was an awesome little listener.  He too loves everything involving Addison.

Mrs. Prosser and Addi...we love her so much!  I forgot to take pictures of the snacks I made..a fruit pizza and Fireworks popcorn (it had pop rocks in it!!)  I like being the class mom!

Double Date!

March 21- On Saturday night Bill and Addison had the Father Daughter dance.  Addi was really excited for it!  She had a good time last year!  Well, Landon had been talking about a date for awhile. "Mom you should wear a dress on our date."  So we decided to go on a double date with Addi and Daddy.  Then they went off to the dance and Landon and I unfortunately went to Costco but then got ice cream!
Two cute kiddos!  Thanks Grandma for the great dress!

Daddy and his adorable kids!

The lady at the restaurant was nice enough to come and take our picture!
Em...does the dress look familiar?  Who says you can't wear bridesmaid dresses again!  Woohoo for it still fitting 15 years later!

Daddy's Birthday!

March 18-
We had fun celebrating Bill's Birthday this week!  I made some fun breakfast snacks for work and then we had a great dinner at home.  Crab cakes, a corn bread dish, fries and hummingbird cake!  It is super yummy!  It is all of Bill's favorites in one....it is like a pineapple, banana break, carrot cake type dessert.  It was a hit!  I was actually able to keep his present a surprise....I got his this sweater that he had tried on forever ago at a pheasants forever banquet and liked.  Beretta makes it and he looks great in it!  I was shocked I actually kept the secret!

Then last night we went to the National Symphony Orchestra at the Kennedy Center.  We had dinner at the Equinox before hand....it was all right nothing too amazing! The Symphony was great we were in the second row.  I had fun watching the performers faces.  It was a fun date!  It really is great to have so many choice for entertainment!  We just have to remember to take advantage of all the options!

I think Bill had a good birthday week!  We Love him SO Much!!!

The Birthday Boy and his two cute kiddos!

Addison made him a fun hat...that he was sweet enough to wear!

Run for the Ridge

March 21- This morning as a family we participated in Run for the Ridge!  It is a great 5K that the PTA puts on.  Last year Landon really wanted to run so this year he did!  He did a great job finishing his first race and 5K!  Addison and Bill ran ahead of us and Addi finished strong and came back to meet us!  Landon did well considering his legs are two feet long!  I think he finished in about 45 minutes or so.

It was a bit on the chilly side but we had a great time!  I love this race!  It is so low key and fun!

My runner family! Landon wanted to hold my hand.....and it was like a weight!  So we finally decided he could hang on to my jacket.  He was so worried he was going to get lost.  Good thing we started with a small race!
Landon crossing the finish line of his first race ever!  Congrats Landon!
 two cute little runners!

A Little fun in the City!!

Today we spent some time in DC.  Bill found a great show this morning at the National Theater.  It was a mime show called Maestro!  The kiddos had a great time.  A little lunch and the off to the National Museum of American History.  We got to see the first flag, learn about transportation and see the counter where the sit in happened long ago.  It is great to be able to teach history with great visuals...
I was happy to find a little bit of Omaha!!!!
