Landon's 1st Day of Pre-K!

Friday, September 11
Landon had his first day of Pre-K today!  He was really excited because at meet the teacher day yesterday, they told him that they were going to have a good bye summer party!  So, the first thing he told Bill when he came home was that "Yeah, we are are gonna have a party the first day!" with a shrug of his shoulders.  He is a funny boy.  He of course is very comfortable at school and with all the teachers since he spends so much time there.  I am very glad that we made the decision to send Landon to Pre-K!  I would NOT have been ready to send him on the bus to Kindergarten! I think Landon is going to have a great time and I think the class is great too.  There are a lot of my kids from last year in his class and kids he knew from when he was in the 3's class.

Bill went all the way into work and then drove the 17 miles back in RUSH HOUR traffic just to bring Landon to his first day!  That is so sweet!  Mrs. Moore (K) tells me later when she see's me "You have a really handsome husband!"  I agreed with her for sure!  He is such a sweet Daddy too!

It was my 'meet the teacher' day so I got to meet my kiddos but the parents stayed with them.  It seems like it is going to be a great class!
 My cute Pre-K kiddo!

1st Day of 2nd Grade!

September 8, 2015-
How is it possible that my little girl is in second grade?  She had a great morning and found all her little presents waiting for her on the table. And got homemade doughnuts for breakfast.  I love doing little things that make her feel special!  I hope I always can!

Fun little gifts for Addi, her teacher and the bus driver!
Landon LOVES having Addison home....it wasn't too bad of a day but he was still ready to get her at 1:30!

 First Day of 2nd Grade!
Daddy was here to send her off!  She was so excited to see him this morning!  He was also here to pick her up!  We are SO lucky!
Abigail and Addison...sad they are not in the same class!
Popsicles on the Porch...was last thursday and we got to meet Addison's teacher!

Introducing Mr. Leonato! We are excited for a great year!

5 Year Old Photo Shoot

When we were in MN I was lucky enough to use my uncle Jayson's farm to take some pictures of Addison and Landon.  Mostly Landon's 5 year photos.  It was a great morning!

Thanks Jayson and Danielle for the use of your amazing place!  We LOVE it there!

 Catching Frogs!
Got one!  Landon wasn't so sure he wanted to hold it but then was trying to be a tough guy and did!

Gottal Love MN!

So, Bill was trying to get them to smile for me....and he pretended that there was a squirrel in my hair...I wasn't expecting that and jumped....they thought it was hilarious! It made for awesome pictures...so it is all good!

Go Navy Beat Colgate!

Last minute we were given some tickets from a lady at Bill's work for the Navy vs Colgate game.  Not having plans for Labor day we took off.  We decided to go to the Academy to see a parade on Friday, spend the night and catch the game on Saturday.  It worked out great!  I love being in Annapolis...I think it is such an enchanting place! I am not sure that Bill thinks the same as he has much different memories of that place!  But it is still fun to be there all together and learn stuff from Bill and take it all in.
I had never seen this statue colored before...so that was kinda fun!

The parade was really neat.  But, it was HOT! So as we were watching the parade we saw one of the Mids fall down.  There were people that were watching for this kinda thing but they were in the back and this girl was in the front.  She was there for a good while before someone came to help her.  I was getting a little twitchy! But there were a lot of people that had to leave.
Landon wasn't sure if he wanted to play the "plates" aka cymbals or wanted to be the drum major with the big puffy hat.

Seriously Cute! We have another picture of Landon here...so we had to do a repeat!

Now that is a serious food truck!
Addi and Landon had the most fun watching the Mids march into the parade.  The audience throws candy and bottled water at them.  Some companies said they couldn't catch it...but others did.  Addi and Landon had fun watching all that happen! In the end someone was even handing out cheese burgers! It is all just so funny to me!
Now that is a cute bunch! And all decked out in Navy gear!

Thanks Landon for the picture! Not bad for being 5!

Museum Fun

So before school gets started we thought we should take a trip into D.C..  So, Carm and I decided to bring the kids into the National Museum of American History.  So, all of us and Hannah loaded up and drove into D.C. We spent the morning discovering the Spark Lab.  We ate lunch and headed over to the National Museum of Natural History.  There we found the kids hands on room and had a great time!  Carm forgot her glasses as we were leaving so she ran up to the room and got them.  Well, we had parked in the Regan building and had to go through security to get in.  There she forgot her phone.  Luckily we realized before we were to far away!  It was a long day and we had worn out kiddos!! And after driving in 5 o'clock D.C. rush hour traffic I am good for awhile!
