June 16- Happy Father's Day to Bill! He is such an AMAZING Dad to our kiddos! We are so very thankful for all the things he does for our family and all the sacrifices that he makes for us! Bill always puts his family before everything else! We really are so blessed! He didn't get to have a great day because we were driving to Newport. Not the best Father's Day when you have to drive through New Jersey and New York City traffic. It was awful...and that was a sunday afternoon. I am kinda over New York. I don't really feel the need to go there...I suppose if there was some event or something but I am good.....
We got to Newport and we were taking stuff out of the car. It was then that I realized that Landon's bag did NOT get packed. I saw that Addison's stuff was in the car and thought that Bill must have grabbed Landon's bag too. Nope...I guess it was good that it was Landon and not Bill's stuff that he needed. It means that Landon is going to get an new summer wardrobe! At least a few days worth! Luckily there was a TJ Maxx and a Walmart close...whew!
Newport was SO cute! It is amazing...the houses there are amazing! We toured the Breakers and it was just insane the amount of money that went into making these houses...and these were the summer cottages! One of the rooms had platinum walls. CRAZY! It was fun that there was an audio tour for the kids too! I listened to that one...it was right at my level!!
The kids had SO much fun at the beach. I can't even tell you how many pounds of rocks and shells we now have at our house! Addi and Landon get SO excited about finding things on the beach..everything is the most amazing thing ever and it all has a story they are more than happy to share with you! We even got to go to this little aquarium and pet sharks, sea stars and lots of other creatures! It was a highlight for sure!
It was a great time! Bill was there for a class so we had the days to explore and then at night we would hang out together! I surely do love spending time with my family! They are so great!

Our first day we did a little driving and stopped to check out the Ocean! Addi was really excited about the tide pools. I am not sure they lived up to all the hype but she and Landon still had a great time looking for things on the beach!

It is so fun watching Addi and Landon explore and learn new things! It is surely on the list of why being a mommy is the best job ever!

One day Bill was in class we found this little aquarium on the beach. It was tiny but they had some touch tanks which was exactly what Addi and Landon LOVE!
The stingray was hard for them to reach but they got to touch hermit crabs and other kinds of shellfish!
The highlight was the SHARK! I forget what kind of shark it was but it was harmless. It was pretty cool. It was kind of slippery!
The beach was cold and windy but it was still fun...there is still stuff to pick up if it is cold!!!
