Horse Camp
Yesterday was Addison's first day of horse camp! She was SO excited! I am not sure I have EVER heard her that excited about anything! I can tell you that this Mommy was a little nervous. She has never really been around horses! And then there were going to be around 100 kids at camp??? But when I got there I saw lots of counselors and the horses were more like ponies so that made me feel better!
Taking time to pose with Landon...who was also very excited to have a "date with mommy"
That is one excited smile!
This was when I picker her up....she was hot, tired and DIRTY! But she had a great time! She gave everyone who asked a demonstration of how she needed to bounce up and down when trotting!

D.C. with Nana and Papa
We started out by seeing the White House...that was on the top of my Dad's list! It was fun! We talked to one of the Department of Interior guys that was working. He was informative. There is this make-shift memorial across the street and it has been there since the 70's. And unless someone is there 24/7 it will get taken down. There was an old lady there...we couldn't understand her but she was talking about something! We went to a fun deli that the cop suggested and ate in the park. We got a little wet with rain but not bad. Then we headed to the mall. I asked Addi and Landon where they wanted to take Grandma and Grandpa....they actually had an opinion. Landon wanted to go to the air and space museum and Addi the Natural History museum. So we went to both and did the Nesbitt highlight tour!
Natural History Museum
Then we met Bill in Georgetown for a boat ride. It was pretty fun.
Nana lifted Landon up and he was worried that she was going to drop him in the water!
Good Picture Addi!
Landon trying to give Addi a kiss!
What a Nana's Boy!
So, one day we were at home and Landon was helping Papa put up a counter in the craft room. My Dad went to get something and Landon couldn't find him. "Where did Papa go? We have to find him...he is our family!" This little boy just cracks me up! Another thing that he has been saying "Mommy I tell you something? (normally followed by nothing) or "I tell you my plan"
Annapolis
July 6- We took Nana and Papa to Annapolis today! Addison and Landon had never been there either! I love Annapolis! It is so enchanting! I love to hear all of Bill's stories! We at at one of the little restaurants there and the lady working remembered Bill. We were both surprised! I think everyone really had and enjoyable time. Landon really liked watching the boats!
Best seat in the house...

the smile that will get you for sure!
Shopping for football season!
Happy 4th of JULY!
My favorite holiday is here! I LOVE the 4th of July! We didn't have too busy of a day planned which was good because after Bill went to get the oil changed on the Toyota he had it all checked out. Well, come to find out the airbag didn't work and neither did the seatbelt. SO our 4th of July ended up being a car shopping adventure. Luckily, Bill knew what he was looking for and it went fairly quick. We didn't get much time to hang out at our neighborhood picnic before the fireworks but it was still good!!
Apple pie on the 4th....of course! Well, this one after it was all baked...was eaten by the darn dog! I guess he likes this pie too...isn't the first one he has gotten!
Landon was awful proud of it though! We eventually made a new one!
Friends on the 4th! I made all the girls in the neighborhood matching shirts....it was fun! The first craft to come out of my new craft room!
Landon and his favorite buddy...Roland!
Fireworks! We watched them from the Home Depot parking lot with the Sheehan family!
The first ones to go off!
Grandma and Grandpa Visit!
We were so lucky to have Grandma and Grandpa fly in on July 3rd. We have been looking forward to this trip since we left Omaha! They flew into BWI which worked out because Bill had to FINALLY go and pick up YOTA! It came in on the boat from Bahrain and was ready for pick up! It only took three months! Since Bill isn't working at the Pentagon and at some off site building it will be nice for each of us to have a car!
Waiting for Grandma and Grandpa!
We went to the wrong side and found them at baggage claim!
BIG HUGS!
AND SMILES!
