Busy FUN weekend!

Our weekend got kicked off with the last day of school.  It is hard to believe the year is done.  It feels like we just started it!  Next year Addi will be heading down the hall to pre-K until April when we will have to move.  Mrs. Ziemba is an fantastic teacher and we love her so much!  Addison really has learned so much.  She truly amazes us all the time with how observant she is and how much she has learned with her numbers and letters.  There is hardly a free wall in our house because she has discovered writing letters and scotch tape!  "Look I writed letters!" She is excited about learning which makes me so happy!

After we came home we had a celebration doughnut (I wasn't organized enough to get it to her in the morning!!)

Then we were lucky enough to have some visitors!!  Brian and Julie came to visit us.  They had sponsored one of the Creighton baseball players when he was a Stinger the last couple of years and it was his last game!  We were so excited to have them stay with us.  Addi and Landon didn't want them to leave.  They were little worker bees and helped me with all kinds of projects that would have taken me forever and ever and ever!  Thanks guys for all your hard work...I truly wasn't expecting it but sure do appreciate it!  Brian even fixed our pool fountain!  It is SO cute!

We had more friends come to Omaha this weekend too!  We were able to meet Dave, Angie and Jenna at the zoo on saturday!  It was so much fun!  They are doing a little midwest tour and Omaha was on their list!  Yipee for us!  The zoo was great...HOT but great!

I think the highlight was feeding the Koi.  Landon certainly LOVED it and I think Addi and Jenna did too!  

It was such a great weekend! Now we have Summer here...I hope I can find stuff to fill our days and make them fun!  We have a pretty busy week coming up which is great!

Bill is still in Jordan but luckily got moved to a room...by himself!  It is great cause there is wifi in the room and he can call and facetime (we normally get cut off though).  He has one more week there and then it is back to Bahrain!  At least we will have a consistent internet connection!  But he is doing well!  We are so grateful for all our friends and family who are taking care of us and praying for us while Bill is gone!!!

Mother's Day!

Mother's Day...so today was okay considering!  I made most of breakfast last night and got to have breakfast with my family before they had to leave.  Then Addi and Landon played with their new water table while I worked on the pool for a little while.  **side note....that water table was the best $30 I will ever spend!  It keeps them busy forever!!  Then it was nap time and I worked on some little projects I had started.  After nap we went to Sears to buy a shopvac....is that a weird thing to do on Mother's Day?  We needed it and I had the time today!  The kiddos were good listeners and super sweet so that of course makes it a wonderful day!  Addi kept saying every time she listened the first time or did something nice..."That's a Happy Mother's Day Mom!!"  Bill of course spoiled me from afar!  On Friday I got a huge bouquet of stargazer lilly's and before he left for Jordan I was able to open my gift on face time.  It is so great having technology! It was an ipad...to make facetime easier!  Woohoo! I would have traded everything to have him here....but that is just how it goes!  I have really felt a void the last couple of days things just aren't right without Bill.....I can't wait until we are all together again!!

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms! It truly is the best job ever...even with it being extra challenging this year I wouldn't trade it for anything....I adore my kiddos and my husband!  Thanks guys for making me feel loved!  

Dance Recital Weekend!!

What a busy weekend.  Addi had her dance recital this weekend.  We were supposed to be the 2 o'clock show but got moved to 7...it totally messed everything up!  So we had dress rehearsal at 10:30 and then the show at 7.  It made for a very long day!  Addi did an outstanding job!  She still dances with her head in the clouds..but she did great!  She looked so adorable as a little bunny!  She was very proud too and loved getting flowers!  It was so nice of Nana, Papa, Auntie, Uncle T and Lucas to make the trip down to watch Addi!  It was nice that we got to celebrate Mother's Day together too!

 Hanging out at home....the boys got to stay home while we were doing the dance thing this morning...aren't they such cute little cousins!  Lucas is so smiley and happy!  I can only imagine the trouble that he and Landon are going to get into!

Happy Birthday Papa!

Papa and Nana came down this weekend for Addi's dance recital!  Just happens that it was my Dad's birthday too!  So we got to celebrate with him!  Addi and Landon always love helping to blow out candles!!

Addi also had her Mother's Day tea at school.  It was muffins with Moms!  She did a little poem and a song and then we got to eat muffins.  Nana got to join in on the fun since she was in town!  Yeah!  Addi did a great job!

Landon got to stay home with Papa while we had muffins....but I still wanted a picture with him too!  He was looking so handsome in his jeans and little button down...very much like his Daddy!

Healthy!!

So our house has been plagued by sickness lately!  We are hoping for happy healthy days ahead!!  Landon keeps getting these strange rashes....I hope we are done for the summer with sickness!  Addi has been busy.  She was very excited about May day.  And thrilled when she didn't get caught!  She told everyone we saw on tuesday that she was bringing May day baskets to her friends.  She has her dance recital coming up and it was picture day this week! She is going to be a bunny this year!  The theme is Alice in Wonderland.

oh, we also celebrated one month down!!!  Only 11 left to go!  We are doing fine but I do think the reality of the situation has finally hit us.  There have been some bad days but I know that things will be fine.  We will get through this separation junk and enjoy our time together even more!
