A LITTLE Bright

Addison has really been into dressing herself. Which is great when it is in the morning. However, every time she wakes up from a nap she feels the need to change her clothes. I think it is some genes that she got from her Auntie Steph...she used to do that ALL the time. Well the other day Bill and I were downstairs and Addi woke up from her nap and came to find us. This is what we saw...we couldn't miss it from two miles away! No need to adjust your screen....it is just that bright! The girl loves her color and despite the extra laundry we love her and her funny little personality.

Zoo Fun with Auntie Annette

Last Friday Addison, Landon, Auntie Annette and I went to the zoo. The weather was great and we had a really fun time. Addison surely liked showing Auntie all her favorites. The Baby Gorilla, the monkeys, bears and we added a couple of new ones the penguins and the butterflies. Landon had a great trip too...he slept almost the whole time. He loves being outside. So it was perfect for him too.

We had a great visit with Auntie Annette. We hope she can come again soon!

More from Trick or Trunk

We are so happy to have Auntie Annette visiting from Texas. She got to come with us tonight!!!

Addi and Sophie...Sophie is a Chinese Princess

Halloween Photo Shoot!

Tonight Addison had an event at school "Trunk or Treat" staff from the school decorated their cars with the trunks up and the kiddos were able to 'trunk or treat' in the parking lot. It was lots of fun. Before we went we had a mini photo shoot at home. I wanted to be sure to get pictures before an entire glass of apple cider was spilled down the front or something. Well, there were no such incidents but I am glad we took the photos. Landon was supposed to be a little 50's guy but the outfit was pretty boring. I think we will have to break out the pumpkin outfit and try again.

It is nearly impossible to get a photo of both kids smiling.

Addison being a model as she likes to call it! Whatever gets her to smile!!

Thanks Nana for the great outfit! The skirt is SO cute! We got lots of compliments on it!

Nana is CRAZY and made a matching outfit for Addi's doll. I don't think Nana knows what she is getting into!!

Landon had his own photo shoot while Addi was still napping! Thanks to my friend Renae for making the cool knit blue thing.

Our Cute Little Man!

Here is a picture of Landon...he is 11 weeks today! He is certainly more extreme than Addison. When he is mad he is REALLY mad and when he is happy he is REALLY happy. Addison was just more easy going all the time. Landon slept last night from 9:30 until 6...wooohoooo! Now if we can get that to be every night. I am hoping it is coming sooner than later!

The only way I know she is mine....seriously! I know I have mentioned it before...Addison looks NOTHING like me but when she is in her little zone and coloring or in this case "writing my jobs" I know she is mine. She has also been writing lists of things she had to get at the store. She is certainly a little mommy!! If Landon isn't occupying something his swing, bassinet, bumbo chair then you can be assured that Addison has a doll, monkey or dog in it along with a blanket! I love watching her play though...it is so funny to see her little thought processes!

Picture Day at School!!

It was picture day today at Addi's preschool. All the kiddos were looking SO adorable. The picture people don't do a group photo they just do each of the kids individually. So, Casie and I being psycho picture people asked if we could take a group picture of the class. I think Mrs. Ziemba has sedatives in her voice. The class was quite and every kid did exactly what she asked the very first time she asked it! Casie and I were amazed. I would have had to work for an hour to get those kids all in a row and it took her two seconds! Way to go Mrs. Ziemba!

Here is her class picture...they are SO cute! We will be sure to print one for the whole class!!

Addi's art work was on display outside her classroom. She does love to cut stuff up!

Hunting Opener!

In honor of Pheasant opener Landon was sporting his Camo gear this weekend (yeah, I know it is blaze orange and not camo but it is what we had!!) Nana just made a little blaze orange vest so updated pictures will be coming soon!! Uncle Trent and Papa...Landon will be ready before you know it! Trent, a blaze orange baby bjorn is already in the works for your son (whenever that might be!!)

Pumpkin Patch Fun!

Today we got to spend a nice day together at the pumpkin patch. Vala's Pumpkin Patch which isn't far from our house. I have to say I went more for the photo ops than the pumpkins. And this year Addison really didn't want to do much. We asked her a million times if she wanted to ride the pony and she didn't, "No thank you". But she did have a great time watching people and playing in the corn. I think for now we are going to call these Addi's three year pictures and Landon's two month photos. There will be some other three year pictures to come because I am dying to try out some new backdrops and an outfit of Addi's that i LOVE!

8 YEARS!

So I haven't been a very good blogger lately. On Tuesday Bill and I celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary! It is really hard to believe that it was ten years ago when I first met Bill at Em and Mitch's wedding (Happy Anniversary guys!!) and nine years ago that I was in Hawaii and was proposed to at sunrise on the beach. It was shortly after September 11th and Bill was getting deployed early. THANKFULLY I had a really really great boss who was able to give me vacation at the last minute. My Chief, when I told him the situation, said "Go book your flight...we will figure something out!!". Thanks Mike for understanding!! So I booked my flight on friday and left for Hawaii on Monday morning. Flying still wasn't something most people wanted to do at this time. I was slightly worried but I HAD to see Bill before he deployed. The engagement was a surprise!

A year later, to the date, we were married in Willmar! It was one of the greatest days of my entire life! Everything was perfect! I LOVED everything about the day, Bill singing was so great! One of the best parts was having so many of our friends and family in one place....it doesn't get any better than that!! I would love to get married every year...and Bill would do it as long as there wasn't four hours of pictures!!

Now, eight years later so much has changed. We have traveled and experienced so many things and we have been given the gift of two beautiful children. I am very lucky to have a wonderful husband that I can't wait to spend a million more years with! Happy Anniversary Baby! I LOVE YOU!!

HAPPY 3rd BIRTHDAY ADDISON!!

I can not believe that Addison is three already! I hope that she has had a great day so far! She woke up to a birthday doughnut with a candle, then had 4 of her friends over for a birthday party, tonight she is going to Pinkalicious the musical with Mommy and Daddy. She has gotten lots of special birthday phone calls and lots of great mail! Thanks everyone for making Addi feel so special on her birthday!! Here are a few pictures of our ADORABLE birthday girl! Happy Birthday Addison....we LOVE YOU!

THE BIRTHDAY PARTY!!

Eating Lunch

The Birthday Cake!

Who said boys are the rowdy ones??

All the kids posing for a picture....I think they did great! I hope everyone had as much fun as Addison did! Thanks everyone for coming and for all the super neat presents...that sure wasn't necessary!!

Pinkalicious Fun

So to celebrate Addison's birthday Daddy and I took her to Pinkalicious tonight. The Rose Theater was putting it on and it was super popular. The show was sold out and this is after they added another weekend of performances. It was a really cute, well done show. Addison was impressed that we were all wearing pink..even daddy! Landon stayed home with his first baby sitter, Heather, who we love!! It was a great date for Daddy, Mommy and Addi! Happy Birthday to our baby girl!!

Preschool Party!

Addison got to celebrate her birthday at school yesterday! After much deliberation she decided to bring cupcakes. She also brought little party bags to everyone in her class. We picked out pumpkins at the pumpkin patch and had to put in fruit snacks and teddy grahams too! Addi and I had fun stamping the bags. It was a fun little project! It has been a lot harder to fit those in since Landon was born so we take every chance we get!

2 Months Old

Landon was two months old this week! He had his check up and got his shots. He did really well. He cried a little but calmed down pretty fast. The doctor seems to think he might have acid reflux so she gave us some medicine for that. She also thought he had a flat head so she wanted us to follow up in a month to make sure that it hasn't gotten worse. I guess I don't see it. But I am not a Dr. either. Maybe she is just really through. She also said she had an umbilical hernia which would go away with age. I do like to know what is going on with my kiddos but it can kinda freak ya out too! Hopefully everything will end up okay.

Our Little Hostess!

Addison looks JUST like her Daddy but she sure does have my personality. It is scary sometimes! So we were putting up the fall decorations and she took all the table clothes, table runners and place mats out of the box and put them ALL on her little table. Then she ran and got napkins and set them by each place and was talking away about how she was going to have a party for all her friends. Which is right on...we are having her little birthday party next week with some of her school friends! She is so funny!

Pumpkin Patch fun...

even though it was raining really hard. Papa came to Omaha to get Nana so we thought we would take in one of the pumpkin patches! Well, of course it had to be raining. It is something with pumpkin patches and the Nesbitt's cause the same thing happened last year! We might have to try one more time this year! But Addi did get to hold a bunny and her and Papa got to take a silly picture during one of the rain breaks! Addi also had a great time picking out little pumpkins for her preschool class! She picked out the cutest little pumpkin for Landon. She really is a thoughtful big sister!

Free Babysitter=DATE NIGHT!!

Yeah! Bill and I took advantage of having Nana visiting and celebrated our Anniversary a little early! I can't believe it has been 8 years! It really doesn't feel like it was that long ago that Bill proposed on a beach in Hawaii! Things have certainly changed but we couldn't be a happier family!

So to celebrate we went to 801 Chophouse! It is the best food we have eaten EVER! We have had some tasty meals all over the world and this one takes the cake! We had yummy sourdough bread from San Francisco, the best calamari that we have ever eaten EVER, we shared a steak and then had the best mushrooms in the world with garlic mashed potatoes. Desert was this soufflé with freshly made sauces which were awesome. Omaha really is an amazing city. We have world class restaurants, lots to do and it still feels like a small town....it is perfect!!
