Stressful Sunday!

So all of us were decked out in our Vikings gear today! Addison in her cheerleading outfit, Bill in his sweatshirt and me in a hat and gold shirt. We were ready for a big win! Bill had to fly to Virginia for a work trip and after lunch was Addison's time to take a nap. She is in a big girl bed now!! Well, the side has been taken off of her crib giving her freedom of movement! She has been doing really well. She gets up to go potty and that is about it. Except for today. The monitor was quiet but I thought I heard little feet. I came up the steps and heard some quick little steps into her room. I turned the corner to her room and found this..........





I of course HAD to go get the camera first....but then clean up began. I traced her little lotion handprints all the way to my bathroom where she had attempted to open several different bottles of make up and lip stick. Luckily, her hands were to slippery to get the caps off so we got by with lotion and a little bit of foundation. Addison went in the tub and everything else in the wash machine. About a half hour later everything was back to normal!

Needless to say our cute little dress didn't make it to game time! Oh well! Talk about a stressful game...and I don't even care about football! I do think that the Saints showed poor sportsmanship and I think I have become a Colts fan! At least for the rest of this season! Not that the Vikings were playing like champions or anything! I still think they should have won....oh well there is always next year! Minnesota fans have had to become really good at saying that!

I think that is all for now! I hope you got a laugh from Warrior Addison....I wasn't laughing too hard cleaning it up...but oh well! I can still appreciate the humor in a little two-year-old mischief!

A Pizzeria Napoletana in Nebraska????

There is a restaurant called Dante's that we have been waiting to open. The web site said that it was Nebraska's first Napoletana Pizzeria! Well we had tried on several occasions to check it out and they were not open yet (true Naples style)! On Saturday we decided to try again and it was pretty good. It wasn't il Delicato but it was great for being so close to home. Addison truly enjoyed her pizza and the little bread sticks. Here are a couple of pictures of her enjoying her pizza.

Addi...Addi....Addi....

So we were having steak tonight for dinner. Normally our little carnivore, Addison, loves meat! Lately she hasn't been eating it much. So when she was eating it tonight for dinner I commented to Bill that I was glad that Addison was getting some iron. And Addison says to us, "It is downstairs in my play room mommy." She of course was talking about her play iron that she got for her birthday. Bill and I just cracked up! She is such a funny little girl....and we love her SO MUCH!

Play Time!!

Today it was really windy here so Addison and I decided to just play in her playroom. We had so much fun. I of course got coffee, toast and soup. Then we started playing store. She had a great time playing with her cash register and wheeling her cart all around. She also had fun with her babies. She was very concerned that her baby have a diaper, then she needed a diaper bag and wipes. I hope you enjoy the video and pictures of our little Addison who entertains us every second of everyday!

Lunch Date!

Yesterday we had a fun lunch date with Sophie, Casie and Vollen! It was a great day filled with making build-a-bears at home and lots of giggling! That was of course after the below referenced cupcakes! Bill asked Addison at dinner one night, "Is Sophie your friend?" and Addi said, "She is my BEST friend." They love each other so much. It is so fun to watch them play together.

Addison has been such a little helper lately! We recently made some cup cakes and she was such a help! She was great at putting the papers in the pan and an expert at putting the sprinkles on!! Addi liked eating the "muffins" too!!

Excitement in Addi's World!

Wouldn't be great if we all got excited about bringing the dog to Petco? Addison LOVES going to Petco...it is almost up there with a trip to the zoo. Last Friday we brought Sidney and she had a great time! She had to find Nemo, see the turtles, birds and then wanted to look at the Ferrets. When I asked if she wanted to leave she said "Ciao Bellas" to the Ferrets. I just started to laugh!

Then on Monday she was lucky enough to have a date with Daddy. Addi and Daddy went to the zoo. They had a great time! And I had fun doing a little scrapbooking.

Fun Times!!

So this week has been pretty low key for us. Trying to get back in a groove. On monday we got to have play time with Sophie. Casie had a meeting so the girls got to play. They had a lot of fun. It is so funny to watch and listen to them interact.



Today Addison and I had a fun morning. We played games, did a stamping project and even made smoothies for lunch (thanks auntie for the smoothie machine!!)

Here Addi is doing her stamping project. When I asked her to say cheese and smile..." I will only say cheese not cheese and smile" I adore that little girl!!!

BABY ITS COLD OUTSIDE!!!

Hello from the Tundra! SERIOUSLY! Current Temp is -2 and that is without the crazy wind. School here has been closed for three days because of snow, blowing and drifting and the bitter cold temps. Bill is wondering why we live here. Addison and I are trying find indoor activities to pass the time. Here are some pictures of our little Monet!!

Happy Birthday Uncle Jon

Addison has been singing Happy Birthday to Uncle Jon all week!! I am hoping that I can deliver it. I have tried e-mail and facebook to no avail. So hopefully our blog won't fail us!

Happy New Year!

We didn't do much for New Year's Eve. But it was nice. We had a great weekend. Bill did a little grilling in super cold weather and we got to have dinner with our awesome neighbors! Other than that we just kinda hung out. I made a plan for organizing lots of stuff...we will see how long it takes!

We hope that the New Year is treating you all well. I really wish it would warm up so we could go outside and play in all this snow! Bill is starting to go a little crazy I think. He is certainly over the snow!

Sesame Street Live

On the 30th we were lucky enough to go with Casie and Sophie, Linda (Casie's Mom) and Casie's brothers family to see Sesame Street Live. The kids had a GREAT time. Addi and Sophie had a fun time dancing and seeing Big Bird and all the other fun characters. Addison was just in awe. There was singing, and dancing, and all kinds of visuals it really was a great show. The theme was imagination! I think she was most excited to see Big Bird. Which surprised me that it wasn't Elmo. We haven't watched a lot of Sesame Street so I didn't think she knew the characters that well but she did!

Addison and I spent some time last week playing with Playdough. Addison loved it and I had a great time too! She was actually pretty neat about it.
